Don't know—there's no way to socket a tape in a backpack. If you find a way, let us know.

Well, that's why I'm asking. My backpack has 4 sockets. Are you saying that I couldn't put a tape in any of those sockets even if I wanted to?

Unfortunately the way to add a skill tape to an item is to drag and drop it, of course doing this with a packpack just places the tape inside the pack instead of onto the pack. From what I gather all manner of experiements have taken place to try to get it to work and still nothing
