Thread: Idea for a new Tailor/Armorsmith Skill. Skill Attachment Removal

I'm not sure if anyone has ever presented this idea, be here goes.
Give armorsmith and tailors the power to extract various skill attachments from clothing and armor. This should be done via some sorta of secure window that way the armorsmith/tailor that is removing the attachment is not tempted to steal it. The customer would have to agree to a set amount for the removal fee before the process can begin.
THe Process:
As stated before this would be done via a secure window(if possible). The chance of removal would increase as you progress up the profession. IF removal is failed, then maybe there is a chance that the stats on the skill enhancement might decrease. THis would probably be difficult to program, but just an idea to add risk to the procedure.
This new skill would provide the opportunity for non-master armorsmiths and tailors to gain a steady source of income. There has to be lots of opportunity for demand of this skill beacause off attachments that were foolishly wasted, or inserted in a decayable item.
Some may argue that this might screw up the loot market, but i beg to differ. I believe SEA's are overinflated right now, and this could put some balance back into the economy.

This sort of idea has been posted before along with some other suggestions along the same lines.
Mod reversal, the ability to reverse negative skill mods so they are positive and useful.
The merging of low level tapes into a single item, allows only a tailor to add tapes to an item that already has that skill mod on it.
Spliting multi skill tapes into their seperate skills. Makes more tapes available to the community. Maybe the blank skill tapes would be required to use this ability and making them worth something.
Finally, removing tapes from items. So a tape doesn't become perpetually useful and never being removed from the game each removal probably ought to reduce the effectiveness of the tape. Require a tool to do it and make the resulting removed tape 1 point less than what it started out.
