Thread: CU Update..and possible BE clothing removal....
Statistics
- Star Wars characters will now have a single hit point bar, called "Health". When health reaches zero, the player is incapacitated.
- Offensive attacks are performed ultimately to damage your opponent’s health statistic in order to win in combat. Players continue to perform special actions in combat that they receive during their character’s advancement. These actions draw from two point pools "Action" and "Mind". You must have the required number of pool points to perform the action.
- There will be no more stat migration capability.
- Players no longer have the so-called "drain" stats: Strength, Quickness, and Focus. They will continue to have the recharge stats "Constitution", "Stamina", and "Willpower", however they will be called "health regeneration rate", "action regeneration rate", and "mind regeneration rate".
- Species differentiation will be defined by different regeneration stats, skill mods, and minor special abilities.
- The only wounds a player can receive are health wounds. All other wound types will be removed from the game.
I would post in the in development thread about this but it would most likely be lost amongst the other posts *sigh*.

Edit: Momoko, with TH saying battle fatique will still be healable by entertainers is there any chance you can push for enhanced myoflex to be convered to BF healing instead of ent wound healing? At least then we will still be able to provide clothing of use to the entertainer community.
Thanks hun

Blast! I've just brought 1000 enhanced myoflex tissues, are they going to be deleted? changed? or just deemed useless?

That would actually benefit both entertainers and tailors because then they won't have to waste over hundreds of thousands credits on clothing attachments.

A note about CU issues - until this was juuust posted, Sandbox testers didn't know what was "in" and what was "out" so to speak, because things did keep changing. Even now, nothing is final - not even stuff that is publicly released. Guaranteed that ALL of team hawtpants, not just Gyopi, will be fighting for our profession and pointing out any potential problems that affect tailors. Hey, that's why we're in the sandbox
.
In the meantime, I encourage all of you to post any concerns with the new document, tailor-related or not, in the feedback thread. Again, this is a great constructive bunch, so be sure that you post in a way that will not turn the devs off to your ideas.
How to Kick Butt Posting in Dev Feedback Threads
Now, a few tips that I have learned from being a corr way way way long ago: the devs really like if you get to the point.
Headings are a good way to accomplish this. If you want them to take notice, your entry could look something like this (to take an example from above):
Problem: With the removal of mind wounds, myoflex cloth, a BE clothing enhancement which enhances the speed at which entertainers heal mind wounds, is now useless.
Proposed Solution: Make myoflex cloth increase BF healing time rather than mind wound healing time.
Alternatively, they like a bulleted approach:
Potential problems with removal of mind wounds
- Myoflex cloth (made by BE's to enhance tailor clothing) which adds a bonus to mind wound healing is now useless
- Skill tapes affecting mind wound healing are now useless, which is unfair to players who paid enormous sums for them
Or a question - sometimes a dev will quote and answer a well-worded question or questions.
1) What are your plans regarding myoflex-enhanced (BE) clothing since myoflex adds to mind wound healing mods and mind wounds are now going away?
2) How will skill tapes affecting mind wound healing be treated?
Remember - in these examples it's important to give a very very brief description of what myoflex does, in case the dev reading doesn't remember right away. They have to keep in their heads the minutia of 30+ profs, while we as players usually keep track of 4 or so.
Here's an example of what they are likely to skip over and not read:
I've been a tailor on blah blah server for 10 months. A large portion of my business is from myoflex clothing. Entertainers love the myoflex clothing and my vendor is popular all over the server. I've staked my reputation on myoflex clothing. I'm sure a lot of tailors have done the same. In the document, however, it says that mind wounds are not going to be part of the CU. This is worrisome because this is my main source of business. I have 35 crates of myoflex tissues - will these suddenly be useless? What about all the money I spent on them? It is unfair that players have spent so much money on items that are now worthless without compensation.
The above is a perfectly valid argument, that the devs are likely to skip. They have to read pages upon pages of posts, and the above post does not get to the point. Mind you, this is a great post for the tailor boards because 1) we read most everything and 2) we care how your individual business is going. Not so in a feedback thread. In a feedback thread you only want to give an abstract general view of the problem and the solution. If more explanation is needed, then you can add one AFTER you do something with headings or bullet points or questions.
Also, if you write questions, remember to make them clear, and do not combine your questions.
1) With mind healing being removed will myoflex be changed and if so will skill tapes be changed and in what way?
Dev answer: "Yes"
Yeah, that was a sucky answer, because you have no idea what the dev is answering, and the meat of the question was never addressed. The above question should be broken into manageable chunks so the answer actually clears things up rather than confusing the issue.
Good luck getting your feedback out there.
My eternal optimism says that the BEs will be getting replacement tissues for us to use, and they'll wind up being equally effective as the current ones. (IE, some are useful, some aren't, but people like them anyway.)
As far as current items? I'm not going to hold my breath. Start saving up some cash to replace them. :/

Most entertainers and fashion conscious folks I know use padded boots currently when they need colored boots to complete an outfit. I must admit I own a few pairs of colorful padded boots myself. By the sound of the CU non combat classes will have no certs to wear armor. Now more than ever they NEED to make one of our craftable boots have a full palette of color. I'm not so brazen to think it's worth the extra CU dev to design a whole new pair of boots LOL - just take one pair of boots we already make (maybe the high quality boots?) and give them a full color palette. PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Just before the announcement was posted on the forums I started working on armoursmith again, mostly so I could offer red padded armour boots as an alternitive to the lousy colours on ours. When I read that armour in the new system will need certification I nearly cried
Personally I'd love a choice of red boots to offer but I could happily survive with just one type. (If we manage to get red, can we push for bright purple next?
