Found this yesturday, being newbie to combat scene i had never realised they existed (or are they new?)
I found a mercenary bandolier with 0/50 container, basicly its a backpack shaped like a bandolier.
.... Why cant we make these?

I believe they were introduced with JTL. I got one from a privateer mission.
As far as why Tailors can't make them... it's just one of the many loot items that irks me that players can not craft that should be crafting in OUR player based economy.

You are right about them coming with JTL.
The only way to get them is to become a freelance pilot. You get the bando after you complete a tier 1 mission.

I had an Ithorian once.. and after I completed a mission the Pilot trainer gave me an "Ithorian multipocket bandolier"
its a nice piece to wear instead of the normal bulky backpacks.
It would be nice if tailors could craft them also ...

Agreed, it would be nice if tailors could craft them, but the other side of the coin is that they wanted to give pilots stuff that was unique, and that I'm glad for. Actually, I'm extra glad about those flight suits - heh I would hate to have had to craft an orange jumpsuit for every farmboy who wanted to shoot womp rats in beggar's canyon......

is this givenby RSF or smuggler or Corsec or all 3 privateers?
I think that all privateers and wookiee imperials get one. The wookies are special cases since they can not wear theflightsuits which are the normal reward. I am not sure about rebels, but I am guessing it is the same.

You should have gotten it after your 3rd or 4th mission I think!

I got mine from RSF. Don't know about the others. And I got it after I completed my second or third mission, IIRC. I didn't realize they couldn't be crafted, though.

It's a double-edged sword with bandolier containers, though...bandos are a place to get in one more SEA slot...make them usable in lieu of backpacks, and you won't have that luxury anymore.
It'd be nice if the LW MilPack could be retooled after a patch to not only provide the def bonuses, but also B/Eed and able to be socketed (with slots you could USE).
Why can't SEAs work like repair tools? You click on them, a dialog box pops up asking what (out of a list of valid targets) article you want the mod to be added onto, and voila.

As a Wookiee Rebel, I got a Multipocket Bandolier (0/50) as a reward for one of my first tier missions. I quit the Rebelion and then I could not wear it. 'You must be a Rebel Pilot to wear this item.'
I got a Merc Bandolier (0/50) as a reward for one of my first tier missions for the Smuggler's Alliance. I still use it all the time. As a Wookiee, I much prefer the look of the Bandolier to a Pack.
I would love to craft them, but I understand why they want special rewards for the spieces with clothing restrictions. I wish they would take the Factional requirements off them, because I'd love to sell them.
