Anyone else notice that Synthcloth and Reinforced Fiber Panels are going to be possible Armor components?
Does that mean Tailors will be able to add Armor layers to clothing?

They already are components, actually. RFPs go into Chitin and Composite and Synth Cloth goes into Padded.

Which is gone soon, since armor will be certed like weapons for useandfor wearing it as well

Armor certifications will control what types of armor players can wear by profession.
- Beginning players are not intended to have armor when they start playing (they will not receive any armor certifications) and are able to successfully fight against enemies that they can conquer without any armor.
- As a player progresses they will gain certifications for armor in their chosen profession.

It will make for a most interesting trip to the Village on Dathomir for me, a non-combat tailor. So, without even my ubese and being unable to be buffed as I was, looks like I will be needing an escort there and back.
It definitely will be a downer to not be able to use armor to incorporate into the character's "look".

I was a master AS once upon a time as well...though I had no intention of keeping it.
If this isn't currently how it works, you might want to start pushing for them to have armor worn by uncertified characters give hinderances but no benefits. (Your stats go down but they provide no protection.) Then you could still wear armor for looks if you have the stats.
I personally don't care all that much. Boots seem to be the only important item, and that's only because ours don't have the full palette.

Hopefully we all will know what this means soon. Right now we have weapon certifications, but what they mean is that if you try to use the weapon you do almost no damage with it. We also sort of have an armor certification system right now for jedi. If you are a jedi and wear armor your specials no longer work and your damage output is cut drastically. If they are simply going to copy that system over then fashion armor will still be possible. No one knows how it will work yet, though. Hopefully we will know the answer soon!
