Ok, i have a bit of a dillema i think. (besides my poor spelling of dillema).
I just had a chef order a full 1k run of Trim (i think they use it in Vasarian Brandy). I also have an order from an Armorsmith for some crates of Synthetic Cloth and Reinforced Fiber Panels.
What do you guys and gals usually charge per crate of Tailor components when other crafters order some from you? Also, would it be beneficial for me to stock vendors will backpacks full of full factory runs of these 3 Tailor components for easy sale to crafters?

Personally I sell synth cloth and fiberplast panels for 3k a crate, trim at 4k and reinforced fiber panels at 4.5k.
As well as single crates, I also try to keep a few bags of 40 crates and 20 crates on my vendor and they do sell rather well. I've also found putting the serial number into the name helps people buy identical crates, which is usually what they are after

3K for 20 resources per item crates (SCs)
4K for 25 resources per item crates (Trim)
5K for 30 resources per item crates (RFPs, and FPs since their crates hold twice as much)
The others fit in this price scheme too, but I don't sell too many crates of Shoe Soles so I don't remember their price offhand.
And yes, put the serial numbers into the name so your partners can find them easily. You want at least part of the serial to show in the default icon view of your inventory.
Chefs use Trim to make larger storage components (casks), so they get more charges per item.

I'm charging for a full factory run:
Synth Cloth: 60k
Trims: 75k
RFP: 90k
FP: 30k
Or, in other words: 3 cpu / component. I think it's a fair price for components, which don't need special resources.

I have a vendor of all Tailoring components. Trim is a big seller, especially by the 1000.
I also accidentally found a new market of Tailors who dont make crates. People who picked up the profession to make clothes for themselves, or maybe just to see what its like. I got a few 'Thanks a ton' e-mails from people who didn't want to put factories down.

do you guys do schematics for people? I was getting so many requests i now have to tell people I do two of them for free but not after..only because I was getting tons requests. I don't mind as doesnt take much time but lets face it, it cuts down on my sales lol.

I sell all components for 5k a pop. I keep a vendor fully stocked and I also have travel packs of 50 crates for 250k. Everyone that knows about my vendor loves knowing where to get them. I have 4 factories pumping them out as fast as i can. I decided to make a vendor after a 2 mil credit order for trim tied up my factories for 3 days.

ok dumb question...these are without the bio components? I am assuming so.
Yes they are withouth bio-enhanced tissues. And I also have a question. When your price your components, do you count in the factory time and credits spent for maintenance?

I'd do it only for friends/guildmates. But I was never asked for that anyway. And if I was asked by some stranger, I might ask for some compensation, as I don't see a reason to give away my knowlegde for free.

With 3 cpu I am perfectly fine with maintenance/power, as I use the resources I harvested myself.

I think you will probably find that 3 cpu should cover your costs nicely. I, however, never stocked components on my vendor, and I only makes schems for people assuming they provide the resources (duh) as well as agree to pay some compensation, usually 2-500 credits per schem use. This covers profit rather nicely, plus weeds out a lot of people who would normally do nothing but waste my time, time I would rather spend filling orders that actually pay =)

Sound like a good idea but i have a question before i start selling components.
Buyers will have to find the exact resources you used to make them am i right? Meaning if you use some weird sold out fiberplast that you had hiding in storage then the buyers won't be able to find that particukar resource and be stucj with the components no???
Or am i missing something, it's late and i'm tired.![]()
Thanks
