Do these even exist? I've seen tech packs, military packs, travel packs, etc. They all seem the same size. What's the deal?

Unless someone is keeping quite about it. Every pack in the game holds the same amount 50.

The only difference is the look and the resources components they take to make.

Why this is I have no idea they should have at least had them go up by 10 or even 5. Something it hard to explain why you charge more for a type of pack thats doesn't really do anything more then the basic traveller pack.

But on a bright note..Looks sell its about 99% of what this professionis about.

The packs are way overpowered IMHO in the first place. Making them carry EVEN MORE would be insane. Already I have almost 250k units of resources on my back. No signs of scoliosis yet!

The purpose of different packs is because you have to stare at your character's back for hours and hours. They should make even more types so we can see even more variety out there.

From what I've noticed there seems to be a hardcap of 100 items total i your inventory, or something very close to this. Either this or my character was bugged in a very reproducable way. You could make packs carry more, but it's not all that useful since you could have two packs and not be able to fill them up completely due to total inventory caps. It seems to me that packs are really only useful for organization and looks. Adding more storage would make them sell better, but I don't think it would really add that much functionality.

The packs only add additional inventory space if they are equipped.

I can't play right now, so I can't check, but I thought your main inventory was 60 spaces? Maybe it's 40 and I'm recalling incorrectly. But if it is 60, an a pack adds 50, why could I not get above 100 total items? I'll look later, hopefully I'm mistaken and adding space to packs would help a lot

with a pack, you have a total of 110 units you can carry, but some items use more than one unit... most factory crates are 5 units, for example.

Plus, packs are still somewhat buggy... I can get by bank down to like -20 because of it.

If you have a backpack equipped you can put 60 items in your main inventory and 50 items in your back pack. If the pack is just in your inventory, then it won't add any to it. Likewise satchels, cargo pockets etc in your inventory don't add to it, just help organize things.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE bug this.

We had MAJOR issues in beta with backpacks that resulting in corrupting the databases and crashing the servers almost constantly for 4-5 days.

It resulted in a backpack wipe and the loss of many player's backpacked items in addition to a week of complete unplayablity.

Send this bug report out ASAP!!

Anyone know if this was ever resolved? I have a TechPak (50 unit capacity) thatholds 2 TravelPaks and three of those Satchel thingies? One TravelPak currently is holding way over 500 pices of varying items in there respective containers; (i.e. 454 wooly hides, 3kPetrochem, etc.)

The satchels are a mixed bag of Meds; One for petstims, with thesecond for my doctoring stuff, and the third is my tool bag (holds 3 food and1 generic crafting tool for when I grind).

Here's the rub; All the small bags fit in one of the other paks that is in turn put inside my main inventory...! Criminy, but I must be carrying a couple tons of gear in that one TechPak alone, without adding the weights for the other stuff. So now I'm thinking these Paks are like teseract bags of holding or something with anti-grav units sewn in to lighten your travelling loads...! LOL

Okay, reality check here: Players need vast ammounts of certain resources to craft. Samedeal in any game that has crafting in it, whether it's DAoC, or HZ, or whatever. The "reality" part of the check is, I FOCLMBO every time I picture in my mind this little itty bitty Bothan's legs, doing the Marvin the Martian shuffle as he's hidden under a pile of hides, canisters, bones, and sun dried meats

So how comethe Devs didn't think about putting in carts to drag all this stuff around on? I mean, we got speeders and bikes and even riding beasts, for cryin out loud. Why notPack Animals and Wagons too?

(hey there's a thought; Caravans crossing the plains like in the old Westward expansion.... nope better stop there.)

So there is room for the suspension of disbelief, and then there are those areas where you say, "Dorothy, Kansas has nothing on this joint!"
