Twice I've had this happen to me: I'm grinding some ribbed shirts. I go to put in my steel out of a 15k pile, and it takes the whole thing! not the 30 units it needs, the entire stack.That's close to 100kworth of resourcesI've lost in 1 day due to this. Has this happened to anyone else or am I the only victim? Is it a glitch, is it my crafting tool, what? I just don't get it. Sorry, had to rant about this, it's infuriating.

That's a disturbing sounding bug. Anyone else run into this? It's the first I've heard of it.

Are you sure it is taking the entire thing? Do you have a backpack in your inventory? Sometimes I will craft something and when I am finished some of the resources I was using mysteriously end up in my backpack.

Log completely out of the game and then back in again. If it doesn't come back then you should definitely file a /bug report and a CSR ticket. What server are you on? Maybe it is a server bug of some sort. I have made more clothes than I care to think about and I have never had a stack of resources dissapear when it isn't supposed to.

Well, I just logged back on and it's still gone. I guess I'll fill out a ticket and bug thing. argh

Oh, and I'm on Intrepid server.

i've had it where i use a stack to grind but it doesn't show anything coming off the stack, but the next day after server reset the 'totals' are to where they should be and the material is now gone. guess you got the reverse version of the bug

oh btw, if you are paying 15k for 100k steel toGRIND you are paying WAY too much

I had something similar happen with an extractor. I retrieved the resources (metal) and I now have a container showing 0 quantity. I keep it for the pure conversation piece aspect of it, but I wasn't that concerned because it was only about 5k worth.

Just thinking out loud here, but I wonder if it may be a specific type of metal that has some sort of bug related to it? I will check the type and name when I log in later, it would interesting to compare notes on this.

I had something similar happen where I took a stack of resources out of a backpack in my house, put it in my inventory, and it vanished. I tried it again (this time with a 1 unit pile, because I'm not that stupid) and it also disappeared. Relogging/server reset didn't solve the problem. Did the same with a 1 unit stack the next day, also disappeared. I noticed, however, that my inventory numbers went up in terms of capacity... so it was in there somewhere. Here's the strange thing, I resized my inventory window, and voila there it was. There they all were! So maybe that might work for you, even though the problems are not entirely identical. If that is not the problem - ouch.

This was an issue that keeps springing up every now and then. I will try to add resources, and the tool eats an entire stack, when I look in inventory, there is now a 0-unit stack of that resource. No name, not type, but I know it is the one missing. The devs wonderfully restored it, but I still worry when I am crafting if it will pop back again. it occured on 3 different occasions, and over a long period of time.
