Thread: Poll: Best Sellers
Just curious what everyone considers their best selling single items. For me, lately, it has been along the lines of:
1 - Cloaks/Dusters in Black or White
2- Ubese Armor Shirts - Ok, this isn't really *tailoring* per se, but they sell really good as a clothing item
3- Paramilitary Camos in Black, mixed, or solid colors (i.e. blue on white, solid blue, solid red)
4- Lined Work**edit** in White, Black, or default colors
5- Muscle/Flex-form Shirt in Black,White, or primary colors
Oops, looks like you missed the "r" in shirt on one fo those lol
I sell a lot of necklaces. I think the reason I sell a lot is because not a lot of people sell them. I made a necklace display case in my store and in the item description I tell my customers to look at the display case to see a picture of the necklace.
I think my best sellers are melee/stun defense bandilor and undershirts.
1,3,4 & 5 on your list and...
Black sandals! Can't keep black or white Tipless gloves in stock. Metal bikini in red/black. Revealing Bikini in red. Twil'lek's Noble's Crest, red/black (greend diamond was non-existent for a loooong time on Intrepid so that Crest "appears" to still be rare). All black Sunguards.
Patterned Wookiee gloves in all black. Black and White Wookiee Smocks. Black/shades of gray or white Sigiled Wraps, Sage's Hoods (same colors), Both styles of Battle Paddings. I have a separate Wookiee vendor in two locations and try to keep them stocked with a few hundred items of everything Wookiees can wear in several color combinations. Even the icky looking shoulder pads. I dunno, I can barely keep up with the Wookiee sales.
Doctor's dresses, Grand Ball Gowns, The various tops and bikini leggings, Gunman's dusters, and Uniform Boots. The most requested color is black.
Since I like variety, color, and originality, I have a somewhat unorthodox pricing schedule:
- Black = +1000 credits to the price;
- If you mention 'Neo' or 'the Matrix', the price doubles.
On the other hand, I don't mind me if a customers bugs me for 45 minutes to get the colors and lookson his uniform just right... if we together arrive at an interesting outfit, I usually throw in the accessories for free. It's worth my time, since that's what being a master tailor is all about.
bazaar
para camos, black/white

reinf jump suit, black w white pathces, blue w white, white w black

I list 3-6 of each in various listedcolors, at 3k creditseach, and sell out full listing of 25 pretty much every day. If I restock on the weekend I can sometimes get 3 sellouts!
Hands down, the best selling items are Lined workshirts, muscle shirts, formfitting undershirts, flex-form undershirts. Basically, anything that can be worn under armour... AND with some tissue enhancement. People love this stuff.
Next is Black dusters, Doctor's Dress and Wookie Sage Hoods (any wookie that approaches me, I pretty much start up that schematic before they speak.... hehehe With 4 synth slots of single cloth pieces, it's the best for anyone with medical/taming needs. Which is pretty much any CH. I can hand them their +25/+25/+25/+25 Taming/Medical hood and watch the tears of joy flow as theyput it on, thinking how wonderful a hood it is.
1)+92 to wound/injury suits
2)+25 to dance dresses/pants/skirts
3)Melee/stun undershirts
4)+45 Mask Scent suits
5)WarCry/Intimidation undershirts
Lately I have been selling a lot of decorative vests.
This is off the topic, but I have to admit that I made my first frock the other day for a customer. I rarely see them in the game and I think they look really good. Kind of sleek looking. I always skip over it because it does notsound appealing and I get a lot of custom orders so I was making what was in demand for my vendors.
So, try it out. "Don't knock the frock." (I'm quoting that from somewhere. I can't remember where I read it.) hehe![]()
Ialso thought the cap for skill mods was +25 but when I made an outfit for someone it stacked to +30. **shrugs** I'm just starting out with BE clothing, so this is all new to me. ![]()

The skill mods section of your character will "show" the extra bonuses, but anything over +25 doesn't help. I often end up with +30-32 because of certain items (warcry clothing) but those extra points do nothing. Hopefully they'll fix that "show bug" and then people will face the fact that anything over +25 is a waste, and stop wanting +50 taming clothing (PA Member bought over 500 milk cuz he wanted to get like +80 taming, then I informed him of the limit, sad to find out he had over 40 in injury treatment, cuz some tailor misinformed him, perhaps to make a few measly credits).
I inform my customers of the +25 cap, but they don't believe it and the results especially from the medic bonuses suits talk against it. It can all be an error of observation, but all I can do is tell them what is said and let them judge.
But when people claim to go from 1500 average buffs to 2800 average buffs from equipping a +90 suit, the word gets around, regardless of stated caps.
