Thread: Good Price to Pay for Tissues

I have been charging 500cr per average point. a 14/14 would be 7k and a 4/16 would be 5k. I can't keep them on my vendor at this price. I sell them in crates and usually one customer will buy everything I have. I sold over 3 million worth yesterday

I have not yet sold any dance/music yet. I have a couple hundred in crates but don't want to sell them since it took me a VERY long time to get enough eggs to make the runs. I suppose I would sell those for something much higher than 500cr per point. Same goes for tissues that need milk, of course.

I'm trying to figure out a good price for tissues so when I see a BE I can ask him to make them for me...

But what should I offer? HELP!!!

Thanks

Well I have a master BE on one server and a Master Tailor on another. And my Master Tailor is specializing in BE clothing. I have found this formula on the BE boards for pricing their tissues:

HIGHEST_STAT * 250 = cost

So a Bleeding resist tissue with a +5 would be 5*250=1250 credits

Or a TensileRelease tissue +3 Melee defense and +13 def vs stun would be 13*250=3250 credits

I have found this to be resonable enough prices.

As my tailor I have found this very high in cost to buy BUT here is something to concider:

The CHEAPEST tissue a BE can make still costs them 15 meat, 20 flora, and 15 (bone or hide or meat)

The example above:

Tensile Release is 20 meat, 25 bone, 25 hide, and 10 flora.

Now true they can collect the creature resources on they're own (after all they have hunting 4) but do they have any combat skill?

I know many BEs that hire Rangers to collect this for them instead. Or they have CHs get it for them in exchange for making them pets. Also hunting down good quality Bone, Hide, and meat is a pain because it is never all on the same planet.

Just my thoughts.

Tissues start to get hard at the +8 level, and then you need to jump to the advanced versions, and you need better quality stuff. Some of the resources are fish, mollusks and meat. It's more realistic to increase the price dramatically as the bonus increases.

  • +1 to +5 2000 creds

  • +6 to +9 3000 creds

  • +10 to +12 5000 creds

  • +13 to +14 7500 creds

  • +15 to +16 10,000 creds

  • +17 up15,000 creds

So it starts in the range of 500 credits per point, but increases to much more as the bonus increases. The thing to remember is that you are not paying for more resources, but higher quality resources, better experimentation and skill of the BE. And if you are concerned about paying 15k for a tissue, just remember that bonus is quite extreme when you throw it in a shirt the customer can wear under armour. If you are charging 30 - 50k for that shirt, that's about right, considering critical failures and profit. Don't undersell yourself.

Eggs are very easy to get! I can usually harvest a few thousand in an afternoon. I hear it is even easier on test center right now. Also, milk will not be so rare soon either. I think that the only rare ingredient will be mollusks because you need to go on a special quest to get the schematic for a mollusk trap of some sort. I haven't heard the details on it yet.

Well, "easy" is kind of a relative thing. A few thousand huh? I usually get 3-4/lair so that's 1000 lairs give or take, that's a lot of lairs! lol. Personally I've never had a stack of over 500, and generally by the time the resources shift I've collected on the order of 200-250 or so, but then again I've never devoted an entire afternoon to the collection of eggs. Then again, I'm guessing in the time it would take me to get 1000 eggs, I probably could have gotten 10k of meat, so it's a bit relative.

Last night I actually had my first ever custom order of a +25 dance/music garment (shirt as it turned out). I had no idea how to even price it since it was unprecidented in my experience.

Its definitely a lot of lairs. As long as they are not terrible I tend to just collect them every time I pass a lair, though. That add up really quickly. Of course, lately I havnen't been collecting them at all because myoflex just doesn't sell. I think I have had one person ask me for it, and clothing with it that I put on my vendor just sits there.
