IJust wopnderin if anyone can tell me ifthis is probably a worthless item?
The only reason I can think of a tailor trying to get bonus exp points would be to possibly increase the sockets?

Tailor experimentation does nothing right now. You could try holding on to it in case we ever get real experimentation, but that won't be anytime soon...
If you're ever interested in being a tailor, put it in your bank to store it. If you're not, consider donating it to an area tailor or selling it for a low price and let them store it and worry about whether it will ever work.
