Thread: So how much are you charging for the BE enhanced clothes?
I have been reading about prices as much as 20K per tissue and I was wonderinghow much people were paying for the final product.
I bought my tissues for 2K each and most were +15 to the stats. I use them to make one type of shirt in black. I put up a vendor in next to my husband's armorsmith vendor and called it "armor compatible buffed shirts". I priced them at 15K each and they have been selling. I am happy about making 13K a shirt minus critical failures but I suspect my BE supplier will be raising his prices shortly. So how much are people willing to pay for these clothes? Right now I can keep up with demand because I'm just selling to people who are already buying the armor. But if people are willing to pay more, I don't mind taking their credits.
So how much are you charging?
I'm doing usually 15k per enhancement used (with the current stock is +13's, I have some +6 which are 9k per). Its a little more then double what I'm buying them for to help cover failures andproduction costs.
Don't know who sold it but a couple of my customers have said some lady is selling +20to+23enhanced item for very low prices. The worst was a +22 bodysuit that only accepted a 6 cloth stack being reportedly sold for 10k total.
I am selling them for 500c per +1 stat enhanced...on top of what I would charge for the item.
So a paramilitary camo with +16 camo and +16 mask scent I sell for 16000 for stats + 2500 for pants = 18500 total.
Thats my highest priced item so far, and I just stocked it, so I don't know how it will sell. The rest of my stuff has been selling at 500c per stat enhanced, but before this the max price I got up to was about 13500.
Well over on Corbugtis I'm charging 1000 per point + what the item normally sells for. So for example if I sell a muscle shirt for 500 and enhance it +3 injury/+2wound I tack on 5000 for the enhancement for a total of 5500.The arguement has been to charge it that high becuase clothes are indestructable but that little voice in my head says that once SoE wakes up and realizes they flooded their servers with permenant enhancements they'll do one of two things. Make mobs harder or decay our clothes. The romantic in me hopes for the latter.
As to working with the Bio Engineers. I am considered poor by many crafters standards and have worked out a deal with a really nice person. I get the enhancments at a reduced rate and then commission to him when something sells. So in that example above I take half of that price increase of 5000 which is 2500. I subtract the 250 I paid and hand the BE the rest of his 2500.(Numbers are justgenerated in my head becuase they are easy to work with). This helps get him a fair price and gets me some advertising becuase he's gonna want to send people my way to buy my clothes and get his commission. I really feel for those guys. They finally got some love and then in an ironic twist were given the next poorest crafting class (in general) as their customers.
I'm more complicated... For the lower tissues it's 500/pt for single stats and 300/pt for those with 2 stats, for high level ones it's 500/pt and 1k/pt for the bleeding clothes, then I add the price of the clothes themselves.
It's selling very well, prolly still too well, as I have a very hard time keeping enough tissues and I don't have the material to make 14/14 tissues anymore. So I ran some crates of 13/13 and going to make tests on the more complicated clothes now, as well as try to figure out a price.
1k per AVERAGE of all bonus points on the item (so, +16 stun, +4 mele becomes 10k) per panel used. So if I use 2 factory panels in the item, it gets more expensive. I also add in my normal base item price (1k per tier, 10k for master). I leave the cost of the base clothing as my 'wiggle room' to sweeten things a bit. So far my experience has been 'More bonus, more bonus!' not 'Cheaper please' (with the exception of a Doctor that was hurting for cash that I let trade me a good sized stack of hides, which in turn went to my BE supplier).
Now, excuse me while I go check that lair over there for one or two eggies...
It's just the novelty driving the price up, but if you take out the middle man, these things are cheap and easy to make. Playing a master BE, even with crud resources, I can't get less than +14/+14 (+14/+4 for stun/melee), and there's no point trying to get higher (+17/+17 is easy to achieve) since anything between +13 and +24, which covers the entire range, requires you to wear two pieces of clothing to hit the max of +25 anyway.
I charge 10k per enhancement used and split the profits evenlywith my bio-e. So a jacket which requires two rfp is 20k and a shirt which requires one rfp is 10k. That makes it easy to adjust prices. I sold a couple on the bazaar as advertising pieces but those were our experiments and I wouldn't sell the good stuff that low.

Hmm.. and I bet the tailors who aren't master BE's (or have them on 2nd accounts) really appreciate you selling all those on the bazaar so cheap. The same thing is happening on Kettemoor. I bought some tissues this weekend, and then saw the bazaar loaded with 3K items. Too bad that's under my cost for some of the tissues! Never mind the failures I've had so far... /sigh.
And yeah, I'm sure they do sell like hotcakes..

This is bound to happen, but I've yet to see it in my neck of the woods. I did see some noob BE's trying to sell +1 (that's right not a misprint, lol) tissues for 3k though on the bazar.
I'm selling clothing with "basic" enhancements mainly, meaning +7 mostly, and adding in 2k/clothor rfp (or 3k if there's only one cloth/rfp)for those. Gunman's duster with +7 medical would be 13k at my shop.
I'm making +13 bleed defense and adding 3k/rfp for those (4k ifonly 1 rfp)plus of course the base price of the clothing. Sales are fine, money is great (I'll likely be at 1mil credits by the end of the week), I'm not so swamped that I'm hating life, which means for my server and my area the price is about right. When I reach tissues 4 in BE I'll be charging 4k per cloth/rfp to the base price of clothing. If undercutting becomes an issue (meaning I'm severely pricing below the market) or if demand beomes unbearable I'll significantly increase the price, but for now all is good. I'm betting in the coming weeks the price for such items is going to top out and start to decline sharply, so I'd advise other tailors not to try to buy the "lifetime supply" now, cause in a week or two or three you'll be able to buy it for a lot cheaper. But we'll see.
