I heard that it's possible to put skillenhancing attachments into the sockets of backpacks.
But I have never been able to do this. I tried all possibilities but the result was always the same: tha attachment was into the backpack.

Someone knows the correct maneuver?

As far as I know through personal tests, you cannot enhance backpacks even though they may have available sockets.

Try putting an enhancement into a backpack that is full. Never tried it yet, but it may work.
