Thread: Anabelle and Vandessa.. this need to be brought to Dev's
The failure rate for 'repairing' decaying clothing is just too high.
I couldn't even repair a pair of hot pants that I made for a player.
Every time I try to repair an article of clothing, the clothing gets destroyed. I do not think I have had ONE success in repairing clothing. At least give a bonus or something to repairing clothes that you made.
annoyed...
Yes the whole repairing system needs to be rethought! As a Master Tailor/Master Armorsmith (gave them up a bit ago....) I had horrible success repairing my items! A Master Tailor shouldn't fail repairing a silly pair of workmans gloves..............(it's two panels of cloth sewn together for crying outload! how can you fail repairing that?!)
...................oh well...........................
I'm trying to get an answer on this. Does anyone know if BE mods are applied at 0/0 durabilty? I don't sell BE clothes so I don't have any to test with.
Arthur, I am here and I am paying attention. I understand your concern as I do tend to post alot less than many people on these forums. But I'm here, and I'm trying my best. (and no, I didn't take it as being mean)
In all honestly, I've never tried to repair clothing... what with decay at all being realitivly new *blush*
I'll try some experiments this weekend on TC and see what kicks up *scribbles that down on her to-do list* But there is already a thead, started by Anabelle, about it in the Correspondent forums. Hopefuly an answer will be back soon.
My thoughts... if I MADE the clothes then why can't I repair them?? Seems silly that I can make cloth and cloth with BE tissues, then make clothes with them.. but I cannot repair something I made???
It's just strange..
BTW: having the best crafting stations and kits really, really make a huge difference in failure rates.
Well, I think the 0/1000 thing is probably of primary importance, and the repair success rate would be next most important. Since if the decay doesn't work as intended, repair is meaningless.
Incidentally, I had never ever seen a post from Anabelle prior to her becoming the tailor correspondent, and have not seen one since. Not trying to be mean (although it's going to read that way I'm sure), but kinda feels like we have no correspondent right now, particularly after the excellent job Vandessa had done here. I can't help but wonder/worry about our issues getting visibility now.
