I have recently acquired a few portions of heavy duty leather. If I may ask the tailors here, what is this used for and how much is each piece worth?? Thank you for your time....

They are used in making the Crafters Aprons and Backpacks which are the Themepark Schematics. What are they worth?

/rant You should stop trying to charge us poor tailors an arm and a leg for something you got lucky and looted

/rant off

Otherwise, I personally don't pay more than 50K for leather pieces.

Think about it this way: The more you charge us for the leathers, the more we wil charge you for the final product! If you want a Medical Crafter's Apron for 100K, you better just GIVE a tailor the Leather for free. What goes around, comes around!

Karenna has a great point. I'm trying to encourage that kind of deal on my server, where the leather pieces go for 100k or more. Last night, someone asked if I could make them the military backpack. I said sure - 125k if I supply the leather and 25k if you do. Guess which option he went for

Ow! Double OW! This is why I'm saying that we NEED to get in on the component buisness! So that we can afford to even purchase the components we need

Wow, and I thought 100k was nuts!

Prices on Lowca seem to be dropping lately, and the prices for all this stuff (components, schematics, and the finished products) reaching a new, lower, equilibrium. Used to be they'd be going into the 150k per unit range in auctions all the time, now I find myself surprisingly winning some auctions with bids around 50-60k.

I'm not sure about other Tailor, but I know when I purchase HD leather, I want them all to be identical. That's because I make factory runs of whatver I'm making (Yes, I end up "wasting" one of the finished products, but it makes my schematics last longer, and those are the rarest component of them all). So yes, I would say it matters to most other Tailors

Also, HD leather was selling on Flurry for 150-200k each for the identical stacks of leather (in the Flurry Board Auctions). I think the most I've paid for leather was like, 20k apiece, though.... but I have awesome Guildies who help me hunt for it rther than me having to buy it.

If I may further inquire into this, are the leathers used for both the packs (spec-ops and military)? How many leathers does each of them require then? Is it desirable to buyers when you sell a lot withmatching serial numbers, or is this irrelevant to tailors? I only ask so I know how much to sell, and how much to keep for my own pack to be made...
