I did the following when sales weren't great:
- Moved my shop to a high-traffic area
- Icreated separate vendors stocking: Male Clothing, Female Clothing, Accessories, Outfits & Costumes, D2bD (Dare to be Different - nothing on this vendor is black: You'd be surprised at how much I sell!) & Bio-Engineered Clothing
- Stocked my vendors to the best of my ability
- Decorated my shop simply so it doesn't take forever to load
D2bD (Dare to be Different - nothing on this vendor is black: You'd be surprised at how much I sell!)

Or you can do the opposite of this and make a black-only vendor.I've heard it works (never done it myself).
My shop will sell almost exclusively pre-packaged outfits. They've always sold exceedingly well for me.
*shudder*
the black tax works well
i'm no tailor, but ...when i shop:
1. i do not buy clothing with long winded names like: Sturdy Boots (a15) (purple w/ pink polka dots) by sally's obnoxious fashion botique.
2. i hate wearing the usual: black, white, blue.
3. there are actually times when i look for less than 4 socket clothing. even 2 socketed clothing sometimes.
4. i'd pay 100k more for one clothing item, if it meets all these requirements when i am shopping.
5. i look for originality in the tailor's clothing concepts, color schemes, and presentation of shop and vendors. if i can tell they dont care for the presentation, then i know they dont care about me, the customer.
its a shame not all ppl are like i am when it comes to shopping, so therefore, the average power playing kids give you the most business.
just my 2cents. ![]()
hehe Look, my puppy follows me! ![]()
(But seriously, it's always nice to have a [polite] non-tailor drop by.

seriously, i always planned on presenting my thoughts on tailors and what they sell. i have told you in game many times, but i feel other tailors should realize that the fastest selling clothing is not always what we (non-tailors) are looking for. i bought an endor outfit the other day for 300-400k (cant remember) not because it had BE tissues in it, but because it was a nice outfit, one stop shop, and all named something like "Endor Hunting Gear" or something to that effect....to go along with my newly purchased Endor Helmet (which would be awesome if you guys could craft it).
hehehe /agree entire post (Except for the sharing power thing, it's all mine, you can't have any.
)
And for everyone else reading this and wondering, g0b0ts is my guild leader and best in-game friend. ![]()
