Here is something I dont understand, although, granted, I am not a tailor-
Why is it that I can have black anything, but my pants will only come as close as a dark green? It irritates me that every time I special order black pants from a master tailor, I get dark green pants. Is there anything that can be done about this?

there are two blacks on full color pallette
alot insist on 'darkest black' which is the first shown but is indeed green
and several know about the second choice, which matches the basic blacks we see on metal and leather.
Some will scream one is black other is grey, some that one is green other is black
best is to communicate which you think of as black, and perhaps ask for both so you can show them in turn which you mean.

Yes! You can tell them not to use the dark green )the 6th color from the left on the top)
Instead tell them to use the dark color on the 4th row or so down that is what I call black
The top row goes from a lt khaki green to a very dark green
The row I am talking about goes from a lt grey to a dark grey (almost charcoal) which is about as close to a true black as you are going to get in the game.

Some clothing takes color different from others, that is all. Also, tailors have no "true" black. Its probably a good thing since true black would make most of the clothing we have look absolutely terrible no matter what people think. We do have two choices for "black" though. The first is the one that you are describing. It is the darkest color we have, but it is tinted towards the green. The other black we have is in the next set of "blacks" down. It is brighter than the black you describe, but its RGB values are balanced so it is actually a dark gray. Some people prefer this, others just care that it is as dark as possible.
One thing to add: If you pants are *really* noticeably green then you probably have set the brightness or gamma really high in the game/monitor so you can see what you are doing on dark planets. That works, but it throws all of the artwork's colors off.

Yes we have had some fun discussions about using #7 or #91 as black. Gypoi actually posted the RGB values for both colours in a previous post and here they are: #7 58,61,50 and #91 72,72,72. I actually use both in my clothing but still call everything #7 keep it consitant, if i do need to label #91 i have been calling it Midnight Black. Anyway, as you can see from those RGB values #7 does lean towards green and #91 in a purer, but lighter tone.
