Players should be able to equip bandoliers and backpacks at the same time. As opposed to the magnetic system that is in place the extra strap would be what was supporting the pack.

Im a Droid Engineer so this of particular concern to me as the Droid ToolKit is a bandolier and as a crafter I would prefer always wear my pack. Beyond my own bias I think it would look cool, make logical sense, andmost importantly, be easy to implement.

Tailors have been complaining about this for as long as I have been a tailor. And guess what! The devs don't care! They hates us my precious!

*Agreed*

Besides - I think almost everyone wears a backpack now-a-days anyways...lol...which really doesn't help the bandolier business any.

Honestly, the reason I think the Devs didn't allow it, is becase the Art Department couldn't get it to go properly with the Pack (look at the trouble they had with belts!).

It would be nice but it seems the database for our avatars is set up to accept certain items in designated 'slots'. Backpack & bandolier share the same slot, jacket & vest being another example. I have no problem selling BE enhanced bandoliers once I explain to my combat customers that dropping the pack and wearing a enhancedbandolier & shirt is the only way they can max out the bonuses thatgo inRFP and still wear full armor (my usual suggestion is to get a few storage droids).Of course the max per tissue for melee defense is so low..that would be my one, big, impossible to get wish.

When the Weaponsmith and Droidsmith toolkits came out in bandolier form, I couldn't believe how out of touch the devs were with the crafting community. I can't think of a single crafter I know that isn't permanently attached to their backpacks, carrying resources and crates of components needed for crafting.

Itoo guessed that the reason bandoliers and packs wouldn't stack is because of the limitations of the art department.

One solution to this could be an invisible pack, that can be worn with bandoliers. The pack would be in your inventory and would work like a regular backpack giving 50 extra item storage, but it would not be seen on your avatar. As well as allowing for the wearing of bandoliers with it, tailors who want to look stylish but need their backpack for holding crafting gear could replace their bulky old packs with it. Weaponsmiths and DEs could wear their toolkits with it, and fighters could get their extra RFP bonus without sacrificing the loot space a backpack provides.

People may argue that this would almost destroy the market for any other kind of pack, but in my experience, most people buy packs for organising storage in their homes and banks, rather than for wearing. I for one would like to see less packs worn, so we no longer look like a society of school kids or backpackers, and the invisible pack would do this nicely

Hmmmm never thought of just getting a few storage droids. Maybe I can do that for my wookie. I would rather see him with a bandolire than a back pack.

The annoying park is that bandolieers require a Cargo Pocket but the Cargo Pocket can't be used to store items. Go figure
