Hey I was just curious, how much do yall charge to make a schematic for someone who gives you thier supplies to make it? I actually did it for free for one guy and he gave me 50k. Right before I made 5 schematics for another fella with his supplies and he tipped me 10k.

10k does seem to be the average price, least for me. If it's the "Wookie Pillow" then you might want to charge a little more though for the effort of experimenting.

I charge 1cr per unit resource per manufacturing limit. Keeps the deadbeats that I wouldn't want to deal with anyway out of my hair

I have too much respect for my own skills to sell schematics, so I just refuse to do it in general. I will do commissioned factory runs, however. Once in a while, I'll trade schematics with another skilled artisan for something that I need.

Ditto. I think it's a really bad practice in general. I really don't understand why they even allow the trading of schematics in-game, I wish they would remove it. All it is, is a way to circumvent and cheapen the skills that you have.

Eh. AS needs SC/RFPs…I don't want to tie up my factories making them. Instead I charge 20-30K and get him/her out of my hair in a couple minutes. Works fine for me. Besides, schems have to be tradeable, otherwise you couldn't put them in droid data storage dealies…and some crafters, ASes for sure, can have a LOT of schematics, they need that ability or they wouldn't be able to function.

There is no way I want my personal AS (the one in our mall) tying up my factories...which is what would happen if I made the cloths he needs. I actually do not charge him to make his schems as we have a super working relationship. Actually, all of us at the mall do. As far as others go, I simply do not make schematics.

I went out on a limb and did it once for a customer.... only to find out it was for someone else in their PA who was an architect and competition for my husband at that time. (not happy).

Hmmm.... nah, I don't buy it. I have 5 factories myself and have never felt that I needed a data storage droid. I also discussed it with a longtime DE friend of minea while backand he told me he'd never sold one before. Also I give the developers enough credit to be able to code in restrictions on trading if they wanted to do that without affecting droid storage.

It's the "Armour Padding" component that is used in the making of the wookie only armour.

I do it for free. if someone gives me the resources to make a schematic, i don't see why i should charge them. The only thing i'm using up is 1 minute of my time. But thats just me, i guess i'm too nice

I guess its up to you but my advice is dont make scheme's for anyone, armoursmiths are unlikely to sell you schemes to make 80% comp armour or weaponsmiths 500+ damage power hammers.

The reason is they sell those items and the same should be true of the tailor scheme and just because they require parts rather than the end product should not alter this view. For people saying they dont want to tie up their factories I find it a bit odd just how much cloth can you get through ? 1.000 items every two days is quite a lot from the factory to produce certainly enough for me to run 2 stores and a seperate tailor resource vendor.

Also dont under sell how much the cloth is worth, while not all profit my tailor vendor makes 300,000 a month from cloth when people buy it tends to be in bulk.

I charge between 10-25K depending on my mood and their attitude.

I do not enjoy making componants. I have found that lately all my tells are revolving around synth cloth, RFPs and pillows. I don't keep a huge amount of resources as my bit of harvesters bring in just what I need. On occationI will throw a schematic into my factory (which I share with my better half who is an AS - he gets free cloth as he just takes them from my stock in the house). I'm happy to sell the schematic if they give me the resources. The schematics are only free for guildies
