Thread: Mounts Why not have tailors make the saddles?

Seems like a viable way for us to be useful. CH or BE supply the pets, we supply the saddles and mounting equipment....what do you all think? Can we suggest this to SOE?

Check the BE forum- there's already a thread there asking that they be the ones to make "the saddles". Meaning CH tames them, BE makes them ridable. Spose we could make the saddle blankets for the BE's making the saddles...

Yes, some decoration on that dewback is gonna be an absolute neccessity. Even if its just a wrap of cloth over it's back in a nice color.

BE's asking to make saddles is about as dumb as a chef asking to make weapons. They are Bio-Engineers, they work with DNA's and Tissues, would you expect them to knowhow to craft together leather to make a saddle for an animal and use leather and cloth for saddle bags?


Thats just plain silly.

I'm nearly Master CH and I aggree that the best profession to provide tack and harness would be Tailoring, and not BE. If anything, I think Bio - Engineers should be able to provide mounts that have been altered to do things like run faster, consume less resources (we really should have to feed these things on occasion, and not just when they get injred), and look better.
