Thread: Bio-Engineer Componant crap
Im guessing by reading some of these posts that some of the componants made by bio-engineers are broke.
My question is: Are they broke to the point of not being able to use them?
I have been able to use the constrictor cloth in place of synthetic cloth while making clothes. But I have not been able to use the others in the same fashion. Am I doing it the wrong way or is this the way that they are broke.
Thanks in advance,

If I understand you correctly, the components have to be added to either synthetic or reinforced fiber panels. They aren't interchangable. Combat type bonuses (constrictor, confidence, etc) go in RFPs while myoflex and biosensors, or anything non-combat work in synth cloth. Once you make those components you can use them in clothing, but they aren't showing up at all in pants. If you use them in shirts, you should see the bonuses, provided you use all enhanced synth or rfp, if you use a plain one too it will override.
That being said, general consensus is - myoflex is possibly working, but with such a small modifier it's barely noticable. Biosensors first property is not working - it does not change medicine use (ie you cannot use a higher level stim just by boosting that stat) it is, however, increasing the size of heals on avg per stim or woundpack with the 2nd two stats (better stim efficiency). I still haven't seen anything conclusive on any of the combat bonuses - blanket statements that they're all broken, but nothing like the myoflex and biosensor studies. Then there are some for skills that don't even exist anymore. Chiagra (sp?) is totally useless, though if you drop one in your house it makes a nice 5' tall fire extinguisher...
It's all supposed to get fixed next month anyway, but for now you should be able to use them provided a)you put them in the right type of component and b) you aren't using pants or items with all factory-made components.
