What do Clothing Experimentation Skill Tapes do? Can you use them for anything or is this for a possible future implementation?

Experimentation used to work with tailors... or rather we could experiment up clothing but it didn't actually do anything. Then the devs took it out and now we can't even do that, so currently clothing experimentation skill tapes are useless.

For the future? Who knows if they'll ever do anything worthwhile with experimentation. I did buy a +6 skill tape recently in the hopes of a future use , but I don't truly expect there to be anything ever.
