Thread: A noobs questioning to the Tailor Profession
Hi guys,
I've just started out on Chimera, and after much deliberation (plus a massive no of architects now Player Cities have been activated) I've decided to go the Tailor route. I'm currently grinding up to Novice Tailor first but have a few questions, hope u don't get mad if they are obvious and have been answered before.
1. How can u get special qualities in clothes (it says it next to things makeable on the skill tree) is is through BE tissues?
2. Whilst I fully intend to enjoy my progression up the Tailor tree I DO want to go relatively fast, so some grinding will be necessary. What materials should I begin stockpiling and how many materials will I need to master Tailor??
3. How do I get more interesting colours? I can currently only do pastel shades.
4. Where do I sell my amazing clothing, I doubt I'll have points for merchant skills (mastering CH and dabbling in carbines) so its but me a little stumped.
Thats about it, dunno why but tailoring appeals greatly. Got mocked earlier for wearing a robe (dresss) and being a bloke but hey I was curious. I'll be bugging the forums no end i guess! ![]()
Thanks in advance!!
Chris
1) Synth cloth and Reinforced Fiberplast Panels both have an optional slot for biological components in their contstruction process. Bio Engineers can make tissues that can be installed in those slots. Those tissues give bonuses which are passed along to the clothing items which are constructed using the enhanced Synth cloth and RFP's.
2) Fiberplast, polymer, and iron or steel. (I think, it's been a long time since I ground) Grind ribbed shirts, go up field wear, and at FW4 grind cartridge belts or another belt type you get at that stage. And you'll need lots, just plop your harvesters down and get a good 100k or each type.
3) The techniques tree I think it's called. The one on the right that doesn't grant any new schematics grants new colors at each level, and as you raise in that tree you gain more sockets (up to 4) and get more consistantly.
4) Even with just artisan skills (business 3 i think) you can place 1 vendor. I couldn't get by without my 4 vendors, but everyones different and you might do fine with face to face business, or special orders. You'll have to figure this one out on your own with time tho I think.
1) Special abilities are added with BE tissues when making Reinformed Fiber Panels or Synthetic cloth.
2) Ribbed shirts to start then cartridge belts or cloaks. go to www.swgcraft.com to see the ingrediants for those
3) You get more colors by going up the Tailor Experimentation tree (the right most tree in the skill tree).
4) Try cantinas, at first you will be asked for lots of stuff you can't make and colors you can't do. The other suggestion is to get a small house, get business III and place a vendor in the house.
Another piece of advice, if you want to start making clothes, you will need a wearables factory and get a droid with a clothing crafting station in it. With the droid you make all your clothes anywhere you go.
Hope this helps
