I've been told that you have to have the schematic number for the item you need to make. Well I was using the Generic Crafting tool and making the Linked Steel Reinforced gloves with a macro I made and the Schematic number I used was 115. I thought I just got lucky on getting it on my 1st try. I leveled 4 skill with the macro. Well I tried making a macro for a Cartridge belt and I've had no luck. It requires a Clothing tool instead of a Generic tool. Well I got a wild hair up my ... and desided to just remove the whole entry line that said /selectDraftSchematic115; out of the macro just to see if it still worked for making the linked steel gloves and I'm sorry to say to all you guys that say you need a schematic number. It worked with out the line in the macro. SO now I have a new question to ask.

What is the full information I need to incert into a macro when using a Clothing/Armor crafting tool. If anyone has got ANY, and I do mean ANY macro to work using the Clothing/Armor Crafting tool please give me your entries.

thank you.

For advice on macroing and powergaming ,,please refer yourself to the Jedi board. There you will find oodles of power gamers and macros for every profession possible. On the tailor forum, you will find tailors not macro'ers.

Or the doctor boards, they have wonderful macros there.

For the schematic number, you just have to try them all until you find it, it's not the same for everyone. The reason you got 115 for the link steel gloves is because it was the last schematic in your list so all the numbers above its number will go to that one.

Otherwise I don't agree that tailors don't use macros, I remember grinding all the way to master without one and I wish I knew how to use them at the time. And no matter how some try to convince everyone that tailors that grind are bad tailors, it's not true. Some just want to be able to make the best, how can you blame them?

if you have the clothing tool then in your datapad only count clothing schimatics, it doesnt count ones the tool doens't recgonize.

Also there is a limit so if have over 150 schimtics, and the belt is #201 then you can't get to it because the macro only can recognize up to 150 or so.

I was able to macro the belts but now i as DE i can't macro DE cause i have so many tailors schimitics. So if you are already in other crafting proffesions is may hinder you. You will notice once you hit a certain number like 115 or 120 you keep getting the same item, it means it hit the highest it can read. Stupid bug.

No thank god, or we'd have insta overnight masters. The macroing we already have in this game while usefull in a lot of instances also makes grinding far too easy in my experience. I've used it myself, and to be perfectly honest I think the game would be better off if it wasn't so easy to macro grind your way through the crafter proffs. (of course theyd have to make novice crafter goods worth something too then)
