Yep, exact same as naming it. I even "inscribe" a few of the rings I throw on my vendors.

Another cute thing to do for a couple is to make a schematic for 2 rings. Name it something sweet, maybe including the couple's names. Drop it in your factory, and the rings come out completely identical, same name, same serial number even. It doesn't take long and they seem to get a kick out of rings that were specifically crafted as an identical pair. It takes material for three rings instead of two, but they're nice keepsake items and I've been tipped pretty spectacularly for doing this for people.

Help I have been enlisted to make a wedding ring for some one. The wedding guide says that I can inscribe on it. Is this the same as naming it...Am I just missing something. I do not see this option anywhere in my crafting process. Much help would be appreciated

Keeping identity secret so the other party does not find out.

What I do is ask the bride to submit what she wants her husband's ring to say, and the same for the groom.

I then make it according to their color specifications & inscriptions.

When we had the big ring decay recently my husband lost his from decay (he PVP's alot) and I had to make a new set. I asked what he wanted my ring from him to say... I am now wearing a ring that says"I love you today, tomorrow, and until this ring decays!".

Wonderful idea! I do the people's names in the title, but the identical serial number thing is brilliant.

I'm kinda confused as to why you would need to have the same serial #. Does it matter or affect anything?

I believe that the benefit of the same serial number is of sentimental and roleplay value. Not an actual game benefit.
