I was goofing off the other day, not really in the mood to craft and so I did something I'd never done before while waiting at the starport, I was thumbing through all the different social interractions I could do and I clicked on "language lekku" (since I'm a Twi'lek). And the the fun began Someone asked me if I could make them a duster, I replied sure, what color? And he said he couldn't understand me. He asked the guy next to him to train him in the language and he couldn't. Then a bunch of people started trying to figure out how to get that language and all hell broke loose. I just stood there, continued to talk in Lekku and had all kinds of fun with it. I kept the lekku language on for the rest of the night. I talked with my friends in tells but for everyone else, I could understand them, but they couldn't understand me. I was able to make all kinds of desparaging remarks and so forth, lol. Oh lord, now I have a new past time

By the way, I'm sure you know that smugglers can understand lekku. Well back in the day I didn't know, and started making smart comments about a guy's fashion choices in the cantina one day, assuming that he couldn't understand me... doh!

Didn't know that, but not surprised. It was all in good fun, I didn't say anything that I'd regret and assumed that they'd be able to understand just to be safe. It was just fun starting up a big rucus wherever I went, lol. People would say stuff like "he's a noob, quick, teach him the basic language... no wait... he's a master, hmm, **edit**?".

Heh. Welcome to one of my favorite ways to screw with people.

I'm the only twi'lek in my PA so I also switch to lekku when I want them to know I'm saying nasty untranslatable things about them.

hehehe. If I am really upset, I will "/lang lekku" and start cursing like a sailor. Then switch back again once I have calmed down again.

I love speaking Lekku!

I wish more of us did... I didn't know smugglers could understand it though...

Speaking in Lekku is one of the highlights to being a Twi'lek. I love being in the cantina and giving a shout-out to all of my twi brothers and sisters...lol
