Thread: Tensile Tissue and Padded Work Pants
I've made and sold quite a few bio enhanced clothing items with all sorts of tissues already. However, last nite I was making some padded work pants with a RFP embued with Tensile Tissue (hope I got the name right - can't remember exactly while at work here - it was one with plus 14 to stun defense and plus 4 to melee defense). I was not able to getany skill modifier to show in the final product (the pants) after trying twice with enhanced RFPs from the same crate. Anyone else have this problem with this tissue and these pants? Thanks in advance...
Hi!
I'm not actually a tailor, but I am a master BE who works nonstop with my better half, who is. So I could be wrong here but I do have one suggestion for you.
I'm not sure of the schematic for Padded Work Pants, but do they take more than one RFP?
One thing we found is that if you use a schematic that takes more than one of SC's or RFP's (not identical), and you intend to use one BE enhanced RFP in one slot and a regular RFP in the other slot, the non-enhanced RFP has GOT to have been made AFTER the BE tissues patch.
If you put both a BE enhanced RFP and a regular RFP from a crate that was made before the last big patch, then it will erase the bonus. However, if you were to make a new crate or just make yourself one or two new, plain RFP's, and use those along with the BE enhanced RFP, it will work fine.
Good luck!
Another trick to try on the pants is to extract the synth cloth from the box instead of clicking it in straight from the crate. That usually works for me. And adding the RFP last seems to help too.
Yep.... rule of thumb is:
1) Everything extracted from crates before beginning crafting.
2) ALWAYS put your enhancements in LAST.
I do not do these for the public but just my friends and family. It's just not something I enjoy and failing is so expensive. However, following the above, failing is the only problem I ever have. The bio's have always shown up for me.
Good Luck!!
In my opinion the bioenhancements showing up in pants seems to be entirely random. I made camo pants in the morning and got all three to work. In the afternoon, the stats did not show up in either the padded workpants or the camo. I do not think I did anything different. Who knows why these these happen or not? I sure don't.
