How much is the norm for the BE components?

I am asking because I am a bio engineer and I have been told anywhere from 600-1k per component was the normal. I would like to know what you all think and how much you have been getting them from (not at discounted rates from friends.. normal prices here) so I can know what to charge better.

Thanks!

600-1k per component???? Holy cow, that'd drive prices up all the way. Cases of panels would have to sell for like 35-40ka crate (where we sell them for around 10k a crate right now). Something wrong there, hehe.

Hm, there's no way I'd pay 1k just for the component, I'd have to pass that entire cost on to my customer and I think the bonuses those items give are too small for that high an expense. Whatever the bio-engineer charges me, I'd just tack that on to my normal cost for that item. It's hard to judge yet what customers are willing to pay for clothing with that type of bonus, so it's hard for me to say what I'd be willing to pay for them.

Pardon the enhanced item newbie interruption here, but I haven't been able to find out the answer to these questions:

A local BE offered my vendor several items he made for 1 credit each, so we could experiment with them. Only one of the items could be used as an optional biological, and I used it tocreate a Synthetic Cloth that provided +1 to Entertainer Healing (Dance) and +1 to Entertainer Healing (Music). I then took this cloth and used it with two non-enhanced Synth cloths (hand-made) to make a Sleeveless Dress, which upon examination was no different than any other Sleeveless Dress that I had made. I even went to the Entertainer trainer and trained Novice Entertainer, then stood in the Cantina and danced around for some battle fatigued people, then looked at my Entertainer Healing skill and it was no different with the dress on than without... so, what did I do wrong?

And, if I was to create a schematic using the BE biological to run through my factory wouldn't I need multiple biologicals (one per cloth) to make a crate of similar cloths? If each biological costs 600-1K each then a crate of 25 synth cloths would have to have the price raised by 15,000-25,000 credits. For an improvement of +1, I am not sure the price is worth it.

Right now I'm buying some from a master BE. I pay 4K per item right now. He can make some great stuff though. +10 bonus myoflex a passive sensors I buy from him. I have no trouble selling that stuff for 8K - 15K depending what it gets put in. Is it a bit on the pricy side? yeah but I make the money back plus a good chunk always. I've noticed medics are more apt to shell out the big bucks for the healing clothes rather then the entertainers. But right now he's the only master BE on the server so he can charge what he wants.

If you use bio-engineered components in cloth, you have to use these components on all the Synth. cloth or Reinforced Fiberpanels if the cloth uses more than one of these tailor components, else you wont see the stats on the cloth as well as it wont work. If you make cloth that need the synth.cloth, then get 3 bio-engineered components to the 3 synth.cloth, then it should work.

I charge 250 for +1 - +5 components, Passive Biosensors (add medic skill) is being sold for 500, due to the amount of resources that is used. For the more advanced components, it will be more expensive, 1000 credits for +10 or up.
