Hi,
I am trying to find a way to macro, or actually alias, outfit switches. This is how far got yet:

look1 /smoke;/pause 1;/ui action toolbarPane05;/pause 0.1;/ui action toolbarSlot00;/pause 0.1;/ui action toolbarSlot01;/pause 0.1;/ui action toolbarSlot02;/pause 0.1;/ui action toolbarSlot03;/pause 0.1;/ui action toolbarSlot04;/pause 0.1;/ui action toolbarSlot05;/pause 0.1;/ui action toolbarPane03;/echo \#660099Look 1 applied

The problem with that is that not all I use cover all regions and after you switch an outfit you wear a lot of stuff that does not belong to it. Even worse, when you switch back to the original outfit you'll be half naked.

Now I wonder, how I can get get my char into a defined state when I start the macro with as few items as possible? Would it be enough to just equip shoes, a grand masters healing robe and gloves and then unequip the gloves and shoes be enough to reach a defined state, if I do not use those three items for any other purpose? Or is it still be possible to wear anything under that robe?

If I understand your problem correctly then what you're trying to do is to swap outfits automatically. So it really depends on what outfits you're trying to swap. One of the best outfits in terms of replacing the most pieces of clothing is the "Tactical Skinsuit" this replaces a lots of items including gloves, footwear, pants, shirt, jacket so then you only need to worry about any headwear.

The other alternative in terms of macro'ing the change is simply to extend the macro to deselect all the items you don't want (but I'm guessing you've tried that ... so I've probably missed the point!).

Grand healers robe is not a 'robe' persay, more like a dress in the fact nothing can be worn under it.

for a robe that can have items swapped underneath it, I recommend the Dress robe {appropiate namefor cover up while switching clothes}

as with out seeing what you are switching from and to it is hard to define what needs to be done,
so my general comments would be:

Dress robe for changing under
Tactical skinsuit for fullbody coverage
and Do not forget that activating the toolbarslot where an items sits not only can dress you,
but it can undress you if you are wearing it already.

Well, in theory your outfit should work. The easiest way to start out doing this, before you get the hang of it, is to swap item-for-item. Meaning that I never go from a shirt and skirt to a dress.

Usually, when swapping outfits, I have four items: shirt, skirt/pants, lekku wrap, and footwear. If I stick to the basic four and just swap those, and only those, at a time, I end up with perfect outfits and never end up in my undies. I've tried bodysuits and such before, and it's doable but more prone to oops.

So try it using the basic shirt/pants/shoes approach and see if that works out for you. Then you can graduate to more complex stuff when you've mastered that.
