Thread: Black
I've tried to skim through tons of threads to see if anyone covered this yet, but what exactly do you sell as "black"? I get 349028304 requests for "black" stuff every single day, to which I explain that I can make something really dark grey, or really dark brown... but I don't have true black.
So what color do you name and sell as black? There is nothing I can make that passes for it for 99% of the clothes I can make, at any rate. Am I missing something? Or does everyone just pick the color they think looks the darkest andput a black label on it?
Being consistent with what you label colors is just as important, if not more so.
Some items look blacker than others with that dark grey, and most people will be happy with it. It's the same with whites (light pink or light green actually), and the old 'red' that looked dark pink on my screen and not red at all ![]()
I sold a white outfit today which was actually light pink. The 'white' of one of the items was actually matching the light pink of another item, so I just did it all light pink and nobody would have guessed it was pink.
If you resize the window, so that there are two columns of colors, the one I'm using is the first color of the fourth row.
Especially for items like the Grand Healer Robe and the Doctor's Dress, people are really picky about getting a white and not a light pink or light green. And like the blacks, the light green actually looks lighter than the white in the palette, but on the clothing, the tint is fairly obvious.
