Thread: New Correspondent Nominations?
I didn't know our old correspondent very well, but I heard she was a good one. Despite this, we need to pick somone who will do what they are supposed to do so that we can speak to the devs through them.
Nomination: Kylania
Well the devs are going to pick the new correspondant anyway (if they bother). I doubt they'd listen to our nominations any more than they've paid attention to any of our other message board discussions over the past month.
I'm sorry this sounds really cynical, but I spent my whole time in beta furiously bug reporting tailoring and other issues, and was hoping I was making a difference. Then I spent the time since release completely confident that they'd listen to us and get all our issues fixed eventually. I thought that even if they were never posting here, they probably had someone reading our ideas on this board. But that can't be true if they sincerely thought that any kind of combat-based clothing decay would take care of our decay issue. So I'm really down right now and seriously questioning my character's career choice. ![]()
Well if there is consideration made to who we would like as a nomination ... I nominate ...
Kathlean Vegas

She is active on the board .... familiar to what is happening on the test server and seems to be level headed on the issues.
Pardon while I blush more:

I nominat Donna42. Cynicism should be a job requirement.
Haha, nope Vandessa would do way better than me! Despite all my worries about how the game is going, I wasn't cynical at all about tailoring until yesterday. I already take this game too seriously, and it would be even worse if I had some responsibility other than having fun!
If I had been in Alichai's place, I'd be quitting as well. She put in a lot of hard work, much more than most of the other profession correspondents. She invested a lot of time and energy in trying to make tailoring better for us all. And in response to allher effortwe get a good bug fix (the missingcolors), an extra attempt at organization (crafting tool categories that still don't sort everything properly), and a huge promise-breaking disappointment (apparently we're not getting decay soon, at least not in a way that is meaningful to our profession).
Sorry you're no longer having fun, Ali, and I hope you come back later when things get a little more straightened out. Thanks for doing your best for us.
Thanks for the nomination, but I think Katheleen would be better for it.
She's already got a Master Tailor on TC so is ahead of the game as far as changes are concerned and the gets a lot of really good information as soon as it's been available. I loved her posts from TC during this patch.
But yeah, as far as I know the correspondents all applied two months back and they will be rotating through the entries they got already? Not entirely sure though.
Guess we'll find out in two weeks or so when Q's back or when they get the new community manager hired.
