Thread: Naked Customers After Clothing Purchase
Had to check with other tailors....as of late (pre and post patch on Sep 4), have you had any customers buy clothing and then send a tell a few minutes after leaving your shop that they: a) lost all their clothing in the inventory, or b) if equipped with their brand new clothing, they were now totally naked on their screen (noteven undies, but totally naked)?
This happened to about half my customers last nite (Sep 4) and also a few days before. Often they would come back and say, "Hey I am I clothed right now or naked? Because on my screen I am totally naked." On my screen they were always clothed. Of course this didn't reassure them as they felt quite exposed! (Some really had a good laugh and just went out on combat missions in their birthday suits - their group mates never noticed it either, just the affected customer. One rifleman said he was running around Coronet and all he could see was his cartridge belt and his rifle - quite the sight I'm sure!)
The fix for the naked customer seems to be the 15-20 min logout (as well as those who "lost" their equipment in inventory). I'm guessing it's some kind of database problem, or possibly something happens when they cross a server boundary leaving my shop. I really don't know. But thought I would ask all of you here as I find myself trying to explain this more and more lately to my surprised customers. Thanks!
Maybe you should take up tailoring for Palpatine.

Happens to me all the time. Seems to happen when I buy something new, put it on, and then cross an area boundary. The database has a hissy fit and zaps the items away, leaving me naked only to myself.
I've taken a screenshot of it, it's on my character page (in my sig), at the bottom.

when you buy *anything* from a vendor or the bazaar.
Retrieve it.
move it to your backpack
close your inventory
open your inventory and pull it out of the backpack.
maybe thats not a legit work around but it seems to work for me and my customers...before i started doing this i pseudo lost alot of things...imagine my chagrin when i 'lost' 1million credits worth of harvester deeds. lol.
