I haven't gotten any of the schematics yet, so I haven't seen them. Do they actually fit or are they hula hoops?

They use the same art, so I suspect they fit the same way.

Same art as what? If it's the same art as the mabari belt, then it'll fit fine. If it's the same art as, say, the fancy belt, it won't fit at all. If it's the same art as the decorated belt, it'll fit some people/clothing combinations.

The demolitionist belt is the same as the grenadier belt. Not sure about the others, they might be bandoliers.

it's much easier to convince the powers that be to spend resources on a profession that is considered an integral part of SWG and not simply an interesting diversion to the rest of the game

Has anybody ever gotten a straight answer as to the underlying issue here? I.e., how come armorsmith belts fit, but tailor belts don't? I almost feel embarrassed offering the tailor belts for sale, because most of them look horrible if worn with any sort of jacket-type item, and even without a jacket, most are pretty questionable....

I just read other people talking about the jacket thing today. I don't know about other species, but I know I have a pretty thin (not all the way down on the thin scale, but still thin) female, very short twi'lek, and none of the belts fit right, with or without a jacket. I can be naked and the belt looks like a hula hoop. If I put a jacket on it gets even bigger, or certain dresses, like the cloaked dress. With some belts, like small pocket and...uh...can't remember...lol....it looks ok if I wear something bulky, like the robe of honor, but still doesn't quite look right.

I have no idea, but the recent post by SWG-Runesbane (one of the lead developers) in the image design forum makes me doubtful about whether things like this will be fixed any time soon. We are pretty much in the same boat as the image designers, and he said:

"The Image Design profession tends to be a rather art and programmer intensive profession in order to be done properly; it's much easier to convince the powers that be to spend resources on a profession that is considered an integral part of SWG and not simply an interesting diversion to the rest of the game. That is why it is important that your profession have a valuable function within SWG that can't simply be ignored by the rest of the playerbase."

I am not trying to stir up trouble or anything like that. Tailor only has some minor bugs and I can enjoy playing it even as it is now! I can certainly live with the slow trickle of new designs (we got 2 aprons and 2 hats in the last patch!), and I hope that they will fix the major bugs like the ones with clothing decay and the necklace problem. I have hope for all sorts of new stuff for us, but I am not counting on it happening for quite a long time.
