Tailor items are just low exp in general. I didn't grind through it, personally, so I don't know what the best grinding schematics are. I did a little grinding but not until after I hit link-steel reinforced gloves. You can find lots of threads about what to grind in here, and I think it's even stickied.

Also find the tailoring macro in these forums. It works wonders.

Grinding through a profession does not help you to learn it. Alot of valuable information can be missed along the way. But if it is the fast track to master tailor (or any other crafting profession), then you will need to use a macro, and have the resources to do it.

If you have the resources, the macro/s andcrafting tools, you can go from novice tailorto master tailor in a bit less than 5 hours total.

Here's a link forinstructions and information about writinga macro : http://forums.station.sony.com/swg/board/message?board.id=tailor&message.id=25940#M25940

All information is there.

Just remember, it's not how fast you mastered your profession, it's your knowledge of your profession that will impress your customers.

The FAQ stickied above should have all the figures on what to grind and what materials you need - and links to other useful threads.

I'm working on getting Mastor Tailor, but it seems to take ages just to learn a new skill. I tried making things in bulk, like thirty jackets or something, and it only gets me about 4k xp. Am I doing something wrong? or do I actually have to fabricate 500 jackets or clothing items before I'm able to get anywhere?

I took 6 months to become master tailor! I did very little grinding (only when waiting for the shuttle) and never used a macro. Do not feel pressured into getting master tailor because the Holo grinders are doing it in a week.

Yes, it took me a long time, but I had a lot of fun with my friends along the way, and I am proud that I did it on my own terms!
