I just read my first Holo and it told me to become a master tailor. I am going to work towards this but I don't want to just grind it since I am sure this is going to take a lot of time and the idea of grinding it does not seem fun. Iam going to take becoming a tailor serious and figure that it might be a good way to help my bank accountgrow.

I have a few of my questions.

How long does it take tobecome a Master Tailor?

What resources should I stock up on?

What items give good xp?

What items sell well?

Will I need a factory?

Any help you could give would be greatly appriciated.

If you tailor to have fun, and not to just grind, it is more fun. I hope that made sense, lol. I think the answers to all your questions are here, in the FAQ.

If you read the thread at the top that says READ THIS FIRST, you will find all the information you need regarding what to grind and how much of each resource you will need. It really doesn't take very long...I did it in 3 days.

I'm in the same boat as you...using 8 clothing crafting tools and 8 macros (obtained from the READ THIS FIRST FAQ sticky) I've managed to make it into Fieldwear 4 after one day...

the millions of clicks really sucks but...at least i will know for certain i don't want to be a tailor.

Millions of clicks??? click about 100 or 200 times a day and restock my vendors and I am done for the day. Pretty easy in my opinion.

Having to deal with some pesky customers is the problem. Can I get that in all balck?? Surprise suprise.

LOL...you don't expect people to want color do you? Or variety?

And I don't expect you get questions like, "You make things?" or, "You make clothes?" LOL!

Holo grinders...

i'm not one to really get upset about those types of comments but remember just because someone is a hologrinder for the moment, doesn't mean they aren't current or potential customers of yours. i'm grinding it yes, but remember A) i'm not taking any business away from you....hell just the fact that you've actually managed to master this profession and enjoy it, i can really appreciate that, honest to God. You should alsoshould appreciate the time and sacrifice hologrinders put in...lord knows I didn'twant my character to morph into a brawler/tailor etc.I personally am not a big fan of the crafting professions so grinding is the only way currently I can bear to get through it and hope to unlock my FS character, until that changes that's going to be a part of the game mechanics...blame the devs, not me, I'm still a real person with characters with credits to burn in game...don't burn your bridges...

just my 2 cents.

Blah blah blah fugazzz, sorry for being a little aggrovated, but what kind of response do you expect to get from folks on a profession board of the profession they happen to chose, and happen to enjoy thoroughly, when you make comments like:

I have actually been working on tailor for the last two months, working my way up the tree by making clothes and selling them. If you want to grind your way through it and move on the next profession then by all means, go for it, but don't expect folks to welcome you with open arms when you openly belittle thier chosen profession. And in case you are unclear on this, reducing the tailor profession to "the millions of clicks" that "really suck" and reducing the experience to the knowledge that you "don't want to be a tailor" are the belittleing comments I'm referring to.

Sigh, rant button off.

different strokes for different folks...get over yourself. you like it, i don't. there was no belittlement at all. my statement was that i don't personally enjoy it. i also went on further to state that i respect the people that do so get over yourself a bit and get some thicker skin...maybe you can craft some.
