Thread: Big Patch 2 Report
It kinda looks like, in *effect*, making BE clothing with factory ingredients is undesirable, since the "excess" cloth will essentially be wasted. I.e., if you have enhanced RFP, making a Lined Workshirt (requiring 1 RFP) would make more sense than making a Gunman's Duster (4 identical RFP.)
The upshot is that, unless you don't especially mind being wasteful, crated BE cloth would really have no advantage other than convenience.
To be honest, I kinda like that in some ways. Bio-enhanced supplements have always struck me as something that should be more "handcrafted" than mass-produced, and it seemed a little unfair to basically require all BEs to have factories to succeed.
Look on the other bright side - this will force people to actually dress differently.
Lower end schematics such as the aforementioned lined workshirt may be more reasonably priced for BE components and obviously easier to make, offering more of a market for diverse outfits. Schematics requiring identical components, on the other hand, will end up HIDEOUSLY expensive. I don't see BE enhanced gunman's dusters being any cheaper than 15K, quite possibly more, with how hard that would become to make.
Sounds like you might NOT see every other person running around with a black duster!

I can understand why the bonus only adds once in a multi item slot. But in effect it will make the high end stuff that much more expensive to get augmented with your favorite tissues.
I can agree with that completely, but I don't quite understand why it can't stack per clothing item.It would be too powerful to be able to stack tissues in one outfit, and then you'd also have EVERYONE running around with dusters or other items that require 4 or more components to get the most out of it anyway.
But I don't see why you can't stack otherwise, for instance why you can't wear a +5 bleed defense shirt and a +4 bleed defense pair of pants for a total of +9 bleed defense..
Not being able to stack bonuses inside of a single piece of clothing has another huge effect.... if you aren't Tissue III, IV or Master, forget it. The lower level versions of the tissues are capped around +7. The worst materials in a second tier tissue start at +6 with no experimentation. One of my hopes for tissues was that the non-Masters would have a market selling the +5 to +7 tissues to tailors for use in 4+ cloth/panel items.
I really really really appreciate the hard work you're doing on these tissues
Glad that I have this forum to come read to find out whats going to be wrong with my class; otherwise, I'd be sitting in the dark until the patch goes live.
Has the dev said anything about the stacking of bonuses from different equipment slots? +15 pants and +15 shirt = +15. That just seems wrong to me, particularly with the combat tissues.
Thought of another major concern.
What is going to happen to existing +25 items? (or other items where the apparent tissue stacking mechanism was used with good faith and sold in good faith)
I know you can't test this one on Test Center, and I'd ask our correspondent but... well... you're actually being vocal
/hug Could you drop a brick with a note tied to it on the BE Dev's head? Ask em what is going to happen to existing clothing items which have used the tissue stacking bonus please ![]()
If they insist on bonuses not stacking - then by golly - they should have made them added by themselves - not in connection with cloth.
I'm so pissed off right now I can barely speak.
Okay here is the latest dish guys.. I made a +11 bleed shoulderpad and +11 bleed bandolier....put them on the wookiee and.....
... they stacked. ![]()
