This thread is rather interesting, asIve been a tailor for about 7-8 months, and my prices have never changed, i realise mine are cheap now compared to others, but they were not back when i started (infact i think they were more expensive than average), but when i have over 2000 items on vendors its hard to just change all the prices. But if they really are worth a lot more than what i sell them for now, perhaps if i find time i can try to slowely change my price list.

Altho ive never soldclothes on bazaar and i think bazaar prices tend to be more random than vendor prices anyway.

I actually check to see if the maker is the same as the seller on the low priced bazar items . 90% of the time it was the actual tailor. But I am not going to change professions or give in to price wars. I will continue to make clothing & hope that things will improve

Thats exactly the Attitude i expect from/and makes me proud to be a Tailor

Ive never competed price-wise against other tailors, ive just hoped that by havinga hugeselectionon my vendors i get a good customer base, i mostly make friends with some of my regular customers, as i mentioned just now how long ive been doing it, ive not been doing it for money for a long time now, i do it because i enjoy it, but i wont make everything cheap just because of that, because i have respect for my proffession

Which is why ive not compared my prices to others much, if they are much cheaper or more expensive, then good luck to them, there is a lot of people out there, id rather they didntALL come to me so its all good

I've recently begun playing on a second server, and it's interesting to note the difference in pricing. On Tarquinas, I clearly remember when fleshwraps, leotards and metal bikinis were all 10k each. Now, it's very common to find them for 3k. However, I recently started playing on Kettemoor, and the prices there are much more in line with what I think the value and worth of clothing is. Unfortunately, because of that, I can't buy any because I'm a n00b, and poor.

Don't worry, Kettemoor has it's cheap tailors as well. I was in Coronet last week and saw someone selling master items for around 1K on the bazaar. Everything else was around 500 credits, IIRC. What was even more amazing was that she was advertising her shop in the sale description, stating that prices were "even better" on her vendor. That was so scarey I had to go look.. and yeah she had a vendor full of really cheap clothes. A couple hundred items. Well, we'll see if she is still there in a month or two. Not that I've cared what other tailors charge in ages.

Interestingly enough, the one master tailor who used to sell master items on the Coronet bazaar for 3K now sells them for 6K. That's kind of funny actually.

I haven't changed my prices since I started.. well, since I did my final pass and printed out the dog-eared piece of paper that has been on my desk since last August. At the time, my prices were mid to high-range, now I have no idea. I should raise the prices on my BE clothes (I charge 500cr/point and 2K per wasted tissue) but it's not like I actually need more money. My chef prices are below market as well. On the other hand, there are over 80 chef/spice vendors on Naboo alone, so I don't think it really matters.

Anyhow, I'm just rambling.. time to find some morning caffeine.

the frustration comes when you see things like flight suits and fleshwraps for 750...that is like under the cost to make the item...especially when it requires multiple factory made components...i mean come on 10k granted is not like we aren't making a buttload of money but thats the price of looking good right? and besides that i reently hit up the tailor calc and sell them for abotu 2k less than that...

but honestly when people come up to me and are like well i bought one from so and so for 1k...i am like ok then go back to them..."i can't they were only a tailor for their holo" is a frequent answer which leads me to my point of the holo-grind ruined the game more so than it already was lol...but thats another topic...the basic problem is that it is frustrating when we get undercut by people who just did it for their holo or because people are being dicks...seriously thats the only answer on why someone would undercut a price from 10k to 1k...lol...i just long for a community in game that is more of a utopian society...though it will never happen a girl can wish right
