i was floating around some city yesterday and found a vendor selling crates of tailor items.... cloth/fastners/etc for 250 credits a crate!!!

i almost fell over backwards.... i usually, if i sell it, charge 2500-3k for a crate of something... but 250 credits... WTH

i have also noticed too many vendors selling tailor clothes for extremely cheap.... Master Made items for 1k or so,.... very scary

This used to happen a LOT in the beginning when tailors were plentiful and the market was stiff.

Buy it up.
Mark it up.
Resell it.

There were people on both sides of that issue, saying either that you shouldn't resell, or that you shouldn't underprice, and reselling was the natural consequence.

Either way... figure out what side of the debate you're on and act accordingly.

(And now I really do have to leave town for the Bar Exam).

There are tailor shortages on some servers...? There is definitely no shortage of tailors on the Chilastra server, why, on Chilastra we have tailors coming out the ying yang, hehe....

HAH you should try bloodfin. There's maybe a handful of master tailors (3-5) (that are known and recognized by the bloodfinners) on the newbie planets (Tat Correlia Naboo etc.)

I still use Nivea's price guide too. Heck, I still have my inflated price for Gunman's Dusters in there from the days when there were only a few of us on the server who could make them.

LOL! Elim is a great guy and a great tailor too. And he is frightfully scary as well. He can back up his threats. Hee hee. My tailor char has zero combat skills so I can only imagine mayhem on any idjits who annoy me, although I do have the uberest lil CDEF pistol with a poison DOT. *cough* I brandish it as I burst run away.

But yeah, I agree, don't like my prices, go find another tailor. Just don't send me an email or tell that you are. I don't care. And more often than not, even those that do, come back later and buy that item. *ding* You have mail! Vendor told on ya hon. You bought it. (Do some people not know merchants get vendor sales mails? *boggle*)

I think, for the most part, once a customer finds exactly what they are looking for, they just buy it no matter what the price is. (Unless it's just silly outrageously high) They don't want to keep travelling looking for another vendor that might have it cheaper.

I started with Nivia's, and still use probably 75% of her prices "as-is" but all 10k-15k items I price at 10k, and all items under 1k I price at 1k. Plus a few of her other items are too low (like decorated vest). Otherwise, yea, her price guide has been a great too for me and I've stuck with it.
