Now I can finally say something *yay*
n'Jessi you are a tailoring Goddess without a doubt
I've been reading the Beta art forum on my boyfriend's account (mine still won't let me go there even though I'm in beta too) and the work you've put in finding and sorting all the various bugs and glitches has been amazing.
So, thank you
Kel

Congrats on getting new clothes guys, although I am kind of disappointed the Mayoral/Force Sensitive Robe is craftable - I just spent 200K on one the other day...

Ok, so I saw some people wandering around wearing the hood up robe earlier today. Later I had a customer asking about one. I checked my schematics, while standing at my personal crafting station, and much to my dismay, I was unable to locate the schematic. I seem to have all the other schematics, but not this one. What is the story here?

There are two "cloaks" under cloak. THe hood up one is the second one. ONce you progress to the resource loading screen, the correct cloak appears with the correct name.

Ok i am so happy and excited about the new clothes !!!! So heres a quick run down of my thought so far.
Snow Boots
I love the snow boots I always felt something wasmissing from the footwear section and these where just the answer. The previous winter / Hoth based outfits i made now look perfect instead of just ok.
Hood Cloaks,
WOOW I have been wanting these for ages, but now they are in game and everyone and hes dog is wearing its put me right off them. But thats just me well done sony perfect apart from the name issue/bug
Mayor Robe,
Neverreally like this item much when it was a loot item, given the extended colour range we can make it look a lot better however the first colour set is limited to the hides which real is a let down. Other than black or white its hard to make them look good, still think the double robe is better. Also it seems a bit heavy on the resource side.
New Skirt,
Its ok i think just not what i feel happying wear a bit to much on show for me hehe. What really puts me off the tiem again is the amout of resources required to make it. Considering how little their is why does it take 2 or 3 times the resources of most other items 3 times its size.
Winged Hot Pants,
Well its nice to see a bit of humour in game, well done sony not my cup of tea but it have given people a lot of fun. However the resources required are a joke. Hide is hard enough to come by without everyone in space, as from next week hide is sure to raise in price again. It just makes no sense reasouce wise when you look at the other items.
Cargo Vest.
YES YES YES, now I can complete the han solo outfit.
To sum up, the changes are good in fact very good. The only real negative on many items are the amount of resources required, they just dont make any sense in relation to the items we can all ready make. I think the biggest issue is the use of hides its hard enough to find any let alone in the qualities required for the new items. The issue with hides is simple thatt he market supply is getting smaller, only in recent weeks have i been able to find any this is total due to the jedi missions. If it was not for the combat classes requirement for combat xp to generate jedi xp i would be unable to make many items.
With less jedi and more people in space its going to have a second big impact of hide supply coupled with the high requirements of the new items its a case not so much of passing on costs but not being able to make the items.

Curious, what would you say the price for these should be? I've seen the fleshwrap which uses 300 pieces of petrochem. This new skirt takes 200 pieces of fiberplast or petrochem. Not to mention the rest of the resources needed. I've see the fleshwrap sell at 6000 but I've seen a wide price variance with this new skirt. I've seen it go from 1000-6000. The hooded cloak doesn't take anymore resources then the regular one so I don't see this price changing just because of the hood.
Any thoughts?

I don't think its wrong to sell anything for what ever prices people sell them for, however I am curious only because I try to stay within the realm of what everyone elsecharges because I have been yelled at, and had people upset with me saying that by raising or lowering prices it interfers with the server economy. Hell sell them for 10k I don't care I was just curious for my own personal info. I wasn't trying to complain or be humorous. I was looking for information for myself so that I have an idea on what a fair price would be. Sorry to have asked.

Oh no, don't get me wrong, it's a good question.
My personal view is that I would sell things higher on the bazaar than on my private vendor. I think it would be detrimental to my client base if I were to purposely "rip them off" at my vendor, considering that I've spent time building up a relationship of trust and fair dealing with many longtime customers. However, I think that "anything goes" on the bazaar. The bazaar is "buyer beware" as far as I'm concerned. I don't put my name/sales tag on bazaar goods.
For a normal vendor: I'd probably charge a small premium for newness. I would probably sell the cloaks for 2000 (normally they are 1500). The skirt - I'm too lazy to figure out the resource cost, but my rule of thumb has usually been 1k/factory panel give or take (which makes a fairly accurate guideline for many items).
So I guess it depends on your server economy, your relationship with your customers, and where you are selling the garment. Also, it may be necessary to raise the prices a bit just so nobody "buys you out" or resells your items. Otherwise, have fun with it

I have been selling the cloaks for 5000 each in person or from my vendor. On the bazaar they are selling for 6000. The price might seem high given the limited resources used but no-one has complained so far. In fact, it is all I can do to keep stocked. Everyone is so happy to get them that a few people have even paid me 20K for them despite my asking for 5K. The other plus is that when they realise that they cannot wear a breastplate and a cloak they often ask for a new outfit as well!
At this rate I might even make enough credits to fund my second profession of shipwright when JTL goes live.

to make the skirt for example it takes 5 identical synthetic cloths plus an additional one. 4 identical metal fastners, and 200 fiber or petro i can't remember which. and there may be a 4th resource i'm missing to me thats alot of factory made peices not to mention the 200 petro. I would think 6k at the bizarre is fair. just my opinion, however if thats not what they are going for then I don't want to do that.
fleshwrap= 300 peices of petro chem 2 jewlery settings If i remember right??? and metal fastners?? they go for about 6000. I'm sure the ingrediants on this is slightly wrong but its fairly close.

How to get more hides in five easy steps:
1) Go to either the Rangers or Scouts Forum, they have lists of organic resource harvesting players for different galaxies.
2) Copy down one or more names form your galaxy's list.
3) Enter log on to your galaxy.
4) Send an in game e-mail to one or more scouts from your server's list, describing the type, quantity, and quality of resources you desire as well as your price and any time frame issues. There might be some negotations, but most of us that harvest for a "living" are nice. Even JBMat can be civil when he wants to....
5) Meet with the harvester and make the trade.
Afterwards you can bask in the good feeling you get by supporting someone's playstyle while supporting your own.

Oh, and don't tell him/her that you need the hide for 'Hawtpants' ... they sometimes... often... react a bit allergic to this hehe
