Am I the only person who likes the "leather" palette? OK, it would be nice if you got a few more colors in it as you went up in Tailoring level, but I like the fact that different materials have different coloring options. Even if you had the same "color", the cloth and leather wouldn't look the same, simply because of the different textures.

On the other hand, I'm sure there are items (the sash is certainly an example) where using the leather palette doesn't make sense.

I got one thing other than fix BE bug and decay:

ALL COLOR ON ALL ITEMS (plus some new metalilic color would be nice)!

I need to be able to match colors effectively, plus more color for wookie clothes and dusters and stuff means more individuality in the game (instead of everyone dressing like they are straight out of the matrix.

I don't hate the leather palette, but I'd prefer if we had the option to use all colors on all items at some point. And why do we have two different leather palettes? That in particular does not make any sense.

If they keep the leather palettes, I'd really appriciate them adding one pair of short gloves, one pair of boots, a belt or two, a shoulder sash, and a trenchcoatthat can be dyed using the regular palette. And please, oh please let me use the leather palette for the two-strap bandolier... instead of various shades of pink, terra cota and salmon.

Ive been with SWG since launch and a tailor as soon as i was eligible for the training. In that time Ive thought up a million things Id like to see as a tailor. As a courtesy to our correspondent, I will only post half a million Just kiddin hon, here's my top 4

1) Radial menu choice for cloaks ''HOOD UP/DOWN''

2) abolish that limited leather palette. Its so...limiting

3) a fix to the established schematics which have colour bugs. There are quite a few. (off the top of my head, sigiled waist wrap, luxurious dress and the suddenly uncolourable sleeves of dress uniform jackets spring to mind. There are others)

4) new outfits! and please, keep them in the Star Wars genre. I'd hate to rush to the crafting tool upon hearing new designs were available only to find cowboy hats and shriner's fez's. Make sure we've seen it in the films.

those are the realistic wishes. I have some rather unrealistic ones that Id dearly love to see but then again Id also dearly love to be an 18 pound octcopus so... let's just go with this list.

With all the pockets on pants out there, what a bout a pocketed skirt? A "cargo" skirt, if you will, in the vein of cargo pants irl, except skirt.

Also would like more mid length skirts, as well as some 3/4 length.

And what about shirts with 3/4 length sleeves?

Someone mentioned tiaras etc, I like the idea if it's done right (although everyone's idea of right is different, lol!)

Someone mentioned a camo tank top, and dog tag type necklace, which if it could suggest the dog tag look and still be star warsy I think would be cool. On the tank top, I've been wishing for a plain one, but both would be great!

Bolero-type jacket, ie, the bottom of the jacket is higher than say even a cropped jacket (cropped would be a little above waist), bolero would be more mid-way between arms and waist, for the bottom edge. Probably very open in front as well.

Shirts and pants and even dresses with laced areas connecting various parts of the garment, such as is currently a little bit on the sides of the Light Bustier.

Several have mentioned sandales that have portions wrapping/lacing up around the calf, sort of ballerina style (tho would be great for alot of styles) and I like this, and would add gloves that somehow do the same thing, with the hand part being a patch of cloth on the back of the hand that just fits over the fingers at the finger end of the patch of cloth, with the fingers being naked, and perhaps the wrappy threads going onto the palm (maybe just one or two extending back from the fingers, on the palm, to connect it to a strap at the wrist, with more wrappy/strappy things wrapping up around the forearm). In a style to match the wrappy up the calf sandals, if my explanation makes any sense.

Someone mentioned lace gloves, I love this idea! What about veils, as well? I know the shapeshifting assassin in episode two (yes I know the game is past that era but we have some clothings from that era) had a veil (non-lace tho) across the face. Hats with optional veils would be great, as well as veils that don't require hats, maybe attach to jewelry, or the aforementioned tiaras (k, so the tiara would be a kind of hat lol). Different face veils as well as more formal veils. Casual veils, formal veils, and the one the shapeshifter wore could even be under field wear . . . Some veils sheer or semi-sheer, as the semi-sheer bikini leggings are. I know there would be problems with fps if the veils would be fluttering, so even static veils would look cool, I think, but I just like the idea lol.

A leash! create leashes for pets (well not the gargantuan ones . . but wouldn't a bearded jax on a leash be nice? k, so this may not be star warsy and such, but I saw someone's collar idea which is cool too.

This next one might fit more under say Master Artisan or something, as well as crossing over into CH, but I've wished on occasion for my pet bird to ride around on my shoulder, or fling it off my arm to fly, and so bird-handling gloves, and or shirts for this, or use some of the current reinforced t ypes. There'd be laces on the gloves to tie the bird on as needed, I think they do that irl for bird handlers.

We have alot of clothing that really gives a nice doctor look. I know we can come up with a zillion outfits, but an item or two that would fit some of the other professions really well would be nice, even if the Creature Handling type items I just mentioned aren't done, they are wild ideas, something to help customize the different professions a touch. Even a whip, that would animate when they are teaching animals tricks (to crack in the air, don't want hordes of people protesting whipped animals altho we certainly send them into battle alot . . . ) We have alot of dancer type stuff . . .

Another request, this isn't clothing but say the tool chest things look awesome in the workshop/crafting station areas of droid shops or architects. What about some things like this but in a tailoring theme? Not really a sewing machine, but some kind of something with measing things spilling out of it or something, to give our crafting areas a funner look.

Lights that work, gotta say that, torches are fun but yellowy etc.

Love the mannequin/displaycase Idea. Also, for jewelry, you know just the sort of chest/bust things that go up to a cut off neck, no arms either, you know what I mean? for displaying necklaces.

As others have mentioned ways to sell things as sets, and also to reserve certain items for customers coming to pick up, that they ordered.

A/move up /move down command because the stair thing is getting old. lol. Probably complicated tho I have no idea.

Signs! For indoors. I have been using armored segments labeled with the text I want, dropped on stairs and moved around, for signs, say, to indicate that I have every color of cloak up, or other things, but having plaques (sp? brain freeze) that look nicer, say that Master Artisans could make, with metallic and wood combos, would be nice.

I have more ideas but I am tired and will post more at a later point.

Oh yes, id also like to see tailors have the ability (Id assume somewhere on the experimentation skill line) of removing enhancers from socketed clothing. Some people pay enormous sums for these (now) rare and sometimes very powerful enhancers and want to place it in that new and fabulous cloak rather than that old dusty duster.

Natira Sun, you are so right on and expressed my wishes totally and very to the point.

1) Decay: What you said here is right. Without decay, real decay, not what they have now, will save the profession from doom. If you look at the market now, it is very hard for a newb tailor to exist. They are selling their stuff for 50 credits just to be able to sell it.

Also, what ever happened to the idea of the newb or earlier player making stuff that the ones further up the ladder would have to buy from them because they were just too talented to make it anymore?

2) Uniqueness: What you said is very true. I took pride in what I made because experiment allowed me to make high quality clothes. Ofcourse it didn't mean anything at the time but it would have in the future.

3) Allow all colors on every item: This is also true. I have customers that want me to do specials for them. For instance, they want a metal bikini that is baby blue and match a pair of hot pants that they also want me to make. The colors in the metal bikini are very limited. Why? I am master and the materials I am using are very high quality?

4) Make bonuses work: Very right on. There is so much work for the Devs to do in Tailoring that it is staggering but very little has been done to correct many problems that exist in Tailoring and also Merchant. I have customers asking me about the sockets and what they are for every day. I explain it all to them but fail to tell them that those bonuses don't work. I also have customers that would love to buy clothes with bonuses already in them. Yes, they can go to a Tailor/Bio Engineer for them. But isn't there that slot for a bio engineered object when you make sym cloth and RFPs? That still doesn't work. I think a Constructor Cloth goes there?

I can only add this to your comment Natira Sun because sometimes I feel that I lack the linguistic talent that others posesses and yours was very well written.

To sum it up. Tailors have to be able to make unique items because players want to be unique. This is a known fact. That is why SOE made a point of letting us shape our characters at creation of them.

I agree with you, I think it's kinda neat (ok, occasionally annoying) that clothing has these limitations. If we're making something out of metal it should look metalic, or something made of hide should look like hide etc. More color selections is always good, but I do like the idea that there different "primary materials" have different color palettes.

I have no problem with the existence of the palette per se, and understand the justification (well, it still loks ugly ). My problem is that most of the items that use this palette don't make sense, and it is not used only for items made of leather (dusters !?!?) - in fact, many "leather" items use the regular palette ??!?? AND that in many cases (gloves, belts, boots), you have no option at all, only items that use the limited palette.

This is my gripe.

If you notice the line workshirt now has the full pallette instead of the leather pallette. It looks kind of funny really using a bright blue on the leather part of the shirt.

Ok i hope I'm not repeating anyone. I read to make sure but I apologize in advance if I missed you post!

That being said, I would like to see Profession Specific Clothing! I think it would be great to see outfits available only to those who have the required skill to wear it. There could be cool robes available only to Teras Kasi Novices (wink), or jumpsuits that only bounty hunters could wear! In fact, there could be rank specific clothing that only masters or experts of certain skills could wear, like a robe available to a Teras Kasi Master (wink again!) but not available to Teras Kasi Students.

Think of the huge demand! Masters and Experts would be willing to pay huge amounts (wink yet again!) for clothing because it is more rare and less available to the public. When I hit Teras Kasi Master, i was disappointed by the choices in clothing, and even more disappointed that if I found something cool, any novice brawler could do 1 or 2 missions and buy the same thing! Call me an elitist if you will, but I think i have the tailoring professions best interest in accord with mine ). Besides, for most players, fighters especially, thats a huge part of the game, trying to become more powerful than the masses and being able to beunique.

Also, i think Player Associations should be able to pay for unique outfits that only members of their PA could wear. It would make PvP cooler and easier.

If there are any Tailors who have any cool ideas for a unique Teras Kasi Master outfit, senda tell to Gamma Joe on the Gorath server, I'm definately interested and willing to pay.
