Actually, I think it's the perfect solution!

Wait, hear me out Tailors are complaining that prices are so close to cost to make, that it's almost not worth it. Add in this coloring tool, and nearly all the tailors will quit!!!! This means, the 2 tailors left on the server ( one of whom WON'T be me!)can charge whatever they want!

That will only leave the hardcore hawtpants addicts, eh?

What I don't understand is when you say "everybody" it sounds as if you are assuming that everyone that has an interest in this issue reads these forums or is a tailor for that matter.

I just meant that this subject is old enough that most people in the forum community have already made their stance known on the issue of recoloring, up or down. Further debate isn't going to get us any closer to consensus - let's move on to pressuring the devs for other things, like getting certain items fixed and addingnew schematics.

Well most tailors are still tailors, despite the low profit they get, because it's fun. And what makes it so fun? Having a well stocked vendors will matching outfits, and/or interacting with customers and showing them different products and colors.

Why would any tailor bother at all if all they had to do is make factory crates of identical items and put them on the vendor, and let everyone choose their own color, to ean a whopping 100k a month? Excuse me, I'll pass.

How about a three part resolution.......

Step one would be fixing the decay on clothing.

Then I'd like an interface thats similar to the new ID programming. This would allow the tailor and customer to see the style and coloring of a proposed item, beforecreation, and include the same payment feature. This could also be tied to the tailors skill for available colors.

The final step would be a similar interface with vendors. Allowing a customer to look at a stocked item, and adjustit's possible colors, then coloring the item and accepting payment through the same interface.

None of these would be difficult to impliment. They already have most of the code in place for the ID system.....
