Yes but I was thinking of a line of 'consumables' that would allow tailors to have a sort of 'bread and butter' subset like other crafting and non-combative professions do.

WOW!

/applaud Kemal Shai'Zein

Thank you!!!

I'm sorry, I was SO relieved to see your post Kemal. Ya know, Vandessa...thank you, truly, for your efforts here. I know you are trying to lighten the mood and bring something positive forward and at this point, its really difficult. I think you hurt us (the tailors) by accepting so little and trying to get us to forget about the really big things that aren't implemented...and that we've been promised. I totally understand your position, but I think we really do need to keep clear sight of our goals and not be side tracked by the occassional bone that's tossed our way. I mean how can we forget that they gave us 55 colors...that we should have had to start with...and in the same breath took away experiementation AND basically stated to us that decay wasn't happening.

Yes, that last was retracted, but I'm sorry, the trust barrier has been broken here. I don't believe it...and I don't think we'll see decay before the first expansion. In fact...I doubt we'll see much before that. We'll have to pay to stop paying for playing beta IV.

I think the point, Kara, is that we've not made ANY advancements. My post was not meant as a criticism of Vandessa and I'm truly sorry if anyone took it that way. Yes, I'm very discouraged and I will remain that way until some of what we've asked for has been implemented cleanly. That's...implemented without having other things broken or taken from us.

Sorry, folks, I'm not positive anymore and I do not brown nose. I, like some others, do not feel any advancements have been made, despite Ali's efforts, and she did make a huge effort. Vandessa is also willing to push our interests, I hope her efforts will not go unheeded as Ali's did. I think most efforts are for nought. The devs work on things that they say are bugs, exploits and other obscure things that...well, I've not seen a single one. I play the game fairly heavily and I'm pretty surprised that I've not run across at least one of these exploits. Ya know how many times they've fixed nested containers? At least three times now, to my knowledge...one of them in beta...btw, at that time they wiped all items within containers, even those not nested. I'm not sure how anyone is able to nest any container now, considering I've accidentally attempted it when I was making room in my inventory and got the message that I could not put a container into a container...forget how it was worded.

Anyway, Kara, I doubt the tailoring professional boards is a good place to look for positive. They've nerfed and broken us so badly...its becoming silly. Now any time they do anything for tailors I always look for the downside or what they secretly broke while fixing something...and I never see them hurrying to fix the thing they broke. Need I mention pocketed shorts? We can only change the color of the belts now, yet mobs drop all other colors. How about the luxurious dress? It was *fixed* but its not. There are MANY of these kinds of incidents...enough that if you are smart, you're gunshy.

Btw, its also not a nice thing to flame someone because they are being honest. I'm not the only person that posted that they think we've not made any progress. I am sorry, Vandessa, if you or anyone else took what I said as a slam toward you...and I suppose it could be read that way. I just think we can't gloss over or try to make folks happy with imaginary crumbs.

Alright, here are my positives on tailoring. There aint many so this won't take long, lol.

1) At least we still have 1 item that makes us 147 xp. They haven't nerfed that item yet. (I aint sayin which one so they don't)

2) At least our profession gives the women and entertainers of the universe something to make them look good.

3) They fixed the 55 color thing. (No matter when they did it, at least it is done)

4) We finally have a profession in a game where you don't HAVE to kill if you don't want to. Our profession is one of pure Roleplay FINALLY in aonline Role Playing Game!! (Roleplaying in a roleplaying game I almost passed out lol)

Okay that's about it. Now on to the thread to post the problems.

I'm sorry you took my response as a flame, butI felt the need to point out that you were being inaccurate. I read your post as lashing out because of frustration, because saying that no advancements have been made is simply not true.We did get a few fixes in. Saying that there have been no positive changes to tailoring is both inaccurate and unhelpful. The things Vandessa has listed are not "imaginary crumbs," the missing colors was one of our main issues, remember? We had multiple threadsboth here and in SWG discussion begging for our colors. And we got them.I know it seems like a slap that our decay hopes were dashed at the same time, but we did get our colors. The color issue was completely seperate from experimentation, so I don't see how the decay debacle can completely negate getting our extra colors in your mind. Getting our bugged colors back was a very good thing. Why do you want to devalue that?

Part of my entire post is a response to the negativity of these boards. You're right, this is no longer a place to look for much positivity. I think that's a problem. My post was not completely directed at you, and I'm sorry you seem to feel it was. But I really think that the super negativity of these boards is kind of self-fulfilling. If all we do is complain about how the devs hate us and how we're sure the bugs will never get fixed, each negative issue will seem magnified and be blown up into a huge deal. And any small ground we gain will be dismissed as "imaginary crumbs." And that's just sad.

And if it's being a "brown nose" to try and keep perspective on our problems, then hey, sign me up for the suck-up club.

Negativity? Hmm, I actually think the tailoring forum is fairly positive compared to the other forums I've seen. As it should be. Life is fairly good as a tailor, and I've noticed that tailor tends to attract more mature individuals then most other professions, which makes a forum like this more enjoyable. All the threads on customers, outfits, colors, and all that are great stuff.

For true negativity try forums like bio engineer, creature handler, or heck just about any of the others. The experimentation nerf created a very strong reaction, but that to me was more than justified and I'm actually surprised (and maybe even a little dissappointed)that it died down so quickly (perhaps I'm just more angered about it than others are).

Hey..at least THEY FIXED SOMETHING. They are working on it. If you have such an issue with the game, and you feel like you are getting a raw deal, THEN QUIT. Seriously, I have readSO many posts on here that are just going on and on about all the things that are wrong with this game and this class and etc etc etc...What about all the stuff that is right? What about all the amazing things about this game? Why do you have to be so negative? I am a tailor too, and honestly, the things you are whining about are not that big of an issue. They don't bother me at all. It will be nice when they add decay and fix whatever else needs fixing, but it is not keeping me up at night. I mean, get a grip. First everyone gets upset that they aren't fixing things...then they fix things, and everyone starts getting upset that they didn't fix enough, or fix the right things. It's really quite amazing that there are so many negative people playing this game. Anyways, if you just chill out and enjoy what you do have in the game, and learn to be patient you will be more likely to ENJOY the game. Please. Give this a try.....and please save the replies saying "I can't enjoy the game because they haven't fixed blah blah blah"....I really hate posting on these negative threads, but I couldn't help this one. Some of you really come across as ungreatful. Sure, you are paying for a service, butthese developers have SO much on their plates, and they are doing as much as they can. Besides that, as the game is, it is TOTALLY worth the $15/month. If you don't agree, then quit.Thanks.
