Yes you can. Sabers, Robes, Bestine campaign disk, Downed satelite trackers,the Old Man's force crystal, and a few other goodies are only able to be put in the bank or main inventory. But, if you have a droid with storage you can also put them in there. It's a bug and exploit, though. If your intention is to throw them on a vendor and have saber wielding clothes vendors, I don't see the problem with that. The devs might, so please be warned you might get in trouble for doing so.

I wouldn't really call it an exploit; you do *lose* the robes if you put 'em on a vendor. And having multiple padawan robes doesn't help you at all, anyway.
And giving your vendors sabers... well, you lose those too, along with the crystals inside.
There's no real issues here.

well, remember, the vendor can equip the saber if it has NO crystals, so don't bother putting in a crystal and wasting it
