Comments: I am interested in the whole FS/jedi thing, but several things hold me back. First, I'd have to pick up some combat skills since I am all crafting right now. Second, the incredible length (3 weeks per cycle, 6 branches min) on waiting, and the terrible FS xp trade in are holding me back right now. I am not sure I want to dedicate 18 weeks min. and tons and tons of grinding into this just so I can play as a jedi. Also, I don't really like how the padawans are getting harvested by BH these days, and by all accounts it is becoming impossible to move through the ranks unless you are super careful. Until the xp thing is addressed, I will probably sit this one out.

I want FS skills unrelated to tailor: Vehicle Control, Ranged Speed/Accuracy, maybe some Defenses. (And Surveying, which is related)
Mainly, it's for the second character slot. I don't really want to develop Alcen into a Jedi, as I'm fairly certain he's the oldest remaining Tailor character on Intrepid and I think that's neat.
Working the second character into a Jedi would be a PITA though.

2) Mixed
The Phase 1 quest was fun, with the minigames and requiring resources that most people never go after. The Phase 2 quest was boring and lame: begging for resources after all my friends gave me theirs and I was still short, having friends that didn't make it in with the 45 person limit, not getting a reward because I didn't want to spend more money and time getting the resources, and so on. The Phase 3 quest looks like more of the second, but at least my friends made it on the list this time. Phase 4 will probably be cool again.

3) Reasonable
There's a lot of grinding to do, but at least you know that your grinding will advance you towards the second slot, as compared to the Hologrind where it was all luck.

4) If I want to put in the time and effort, the perks had better be worthwhile, even if it means that it skews the market toward FS tailors.
Though given how Tailors don't have experimentation worth talking about, I don't think it's such a big deal. You might crit fail less and get 4 sockets more often, that's about it.

5) I'm not sure; I think the rewards are OK. A Craft All crafting tool (15.00) might be cool, or a Clothing tool that can't experiment but always gives 4 sockets. That Organic Survey Tool sounded cool.

6) As mentioned in question 1, I'm not sure. Alcen was always supposed to be Tailor/Carbineer, with the second character as a Jedi. Now that I'd have to do a lot of work to get a Jedi character on the second slot, I may not stick to that plan. Guess I'll decide if/when I get to Mellichae.

7) One of the old species
My plan has been to make the second character a female Twi'lek, as it'd be nice to have a character that could wear most of what I can make.

Explain Some are, others not. Alot are still buged which lowers the fun-factor reasonably

(XX) Other The Combat xp-conversion is pretty reasonable, but still a pain for any casual player. The crafting xp-conversions are totally a pain and not very encouraging at all.

(XX) Other A little bit of both. I don't think the current rewards have any impact on the Tailor-market at all, beside the lower rate of critical fails. But I agree that especially when it's so painfull to get and grind for the fs-perks they should be worth the effort. But they shouldn't be 'necessary' to be a successfull crafter in general or Tailor in special.

Doing puzzles (Phase I) was an enjoyable distraction, and competing with the rest of the server (Phases II & III) was fun.
