Thread: What are you doing?!?
travel packs don't require components, just resources I believe.
the ONLY way I can move my clothes is to load an outfit into a travel pack, and then sell it for 200-300 creds. anything more and it won't sell very quickly, if at all. and then i think they trash the clothing and just keep the pack.
You want more nuts? tell them you can make them look like NEO from matrix:unloaded
Black smock and black wrapped boots
him:"Ill Take it. I'll take a whole outfit. Im gonna look dangerous."
him dances around the area.
Reminds me somehow to I.R. Baboon.
The pack market is continuing to deteriorate, but I'm still making a nice profit on the undersellers. Somebody just started dumping a bunch of tech packs in my market, an item I know sells pretty well at 3000 credits, for a mere 800. Buying and reselling his stock costs me a little bit up front, but I can buy ten of his packs from the proceeds of three of my sales, and if he doesn't want that extra 2200 each I can certainly use it.
Anything underselling the market by too big a margin I buy and destroy outright. I'm hoping that the lack of UXP convinces some of these folks to either charge what the market will bear or get out entirely. What I'd really love is some sort of recycle function that encourages people to buy cheap, shoddy merchandise and tear it apart for raw resources, rather than having it clutter the market.
I don't have the capital to manipulate the whole market, but I can affect a single item in a single city, and that's enough for me to carve a niche. If everybody did it, maybe we'd start seeing more reasonable returns for our efforts.
I think you should keep doing it if it's turning you a profit, but I doubt it's going to show the people selling at 800 anything.
I don't know why people even sell things so cheap. Two of my clothing crafting tools bugged last night, and I needed new ones, so I went to the bazaar and bought two for 20 credits each. Now, I don't know what the market value is on these things, but I would've gladly paid 500 credits each for them. At a 20 credit listing fee.. it makes little sense, I'm sure the UXP is negligible.
You don't think they notice that the same person bought all 10 of their packs (or whatever?) I suppose if someone is just dumping stuff at way under market value they may just delete their emails also...

hell someone bought 5 of my travelpacks last nigh at $500 each, so what did I do?
I e-mailed her a told her I had PLENTY moreof them at that price ifshe wanted them. Then I took 10 packs out of my safe deposit box, which just happens to be right next to the bazaar, and put them up for sale at $500 a piece.
Could I make more money? Probably...however at this point in the game I am making more then enough more to purchase resources required to make my products and still turn a good profit. And purchasing my packs at $500 ensures that I will always restock my wares and always have the money needed to make more items.
Maybe I should put a few free domestic food items in my traveling packs too...? Has anyone tried this and had it work for them?
We're talking more about the people selling tech packs for 50 credits.

If I ever saw anyone selling anytype of pack for 50 I would promply buy it and destroy it. The money for resell is not as important to me as the the UXP this slimeball will be getting. If this guy gets to master imagine the chaos he will create selling all his top-end items at 50 per item.
