Thread: My Tailoring wish item A holoprojector clothing model
I campaigned for a mannequin in Beta... the idea was to have a few to put around your shop and dress up. You could evenpay an Image Designer to swing by and change them every week or so, making them a benefit to both classes. Heck, armor merchants might want them too.
There's lots of ways to give us a way to demo our clothes, I just wonder if anyone's listening?
Modification:
The device will take items from your datapad to compose an entire outfit. Shirt, pants, belt/sash, boots, gloves, jacket, hats. Then you can click on each item and depending on your skill the color palet will come up with the colors you can set. You can pre plan your item and display it. The customer could check it out say what they want changed. We all know that the colors are a tad bit off. Dark green looks like black on the palet this way we can get the big picture without actually creating the item.
Mennace...

How about making it so that one does not have to cross the galaxy looking for a trainer to makes clothes? I can't find one Tailor trainer, and the peeps I ask ignore me. That the devs decided to make a tainer hard to find is ok, but that other tailors refuse to help is unconscionable. Players are making the game worse than the Devs ever could, IMHO.
Well, I guess. I'm ok with it just doing clothing projection though.

Just because someone doesn't respond to a tell doesn't mean they're intentionally ignoring you. I often miss tells when I'm very busy, if I'm using groupchat instead of spatial, or if I'm immersed in crafting and vendor windows. I know this doesn't really help you find training, but don't assume that because they miss a tell they're not interested in helping you.
I'm happy to train tailor skills, but I do ask for a donation (though I never specify or require a certain amount, in fact if someone says they're totally broke I train them anyway). I do this because I've paid for all of my skills so far from the trainer. When I'm ready to level, I check with the online tailors and none of them have the skill I want. And I'm too impatient to wait.![]()
I've been tipped everything from 100 to 3000 and every little bit helps. The nicest, most thoughtful tip for training I recieved just today, a fellow tailor gave me a factory crate of synth cloth! This helped me because I didn't have to set up another factory run, and helped the other tailor because she's getting full usage XP from me using the cloth.
The image designer has a preview window for their customer to approve. Why don't tailors?
It's silly to assume that every player is going to know the entire Tailor schematic line and be able to tell us what item and color they want. There are web sites starting that are displaying outfits, but the customer has to drop out of the game to look at 2D pictures.
The ability to customizethe player on the client side existed in beta with a slash command, but it was removed before final (or so is said, I need to look at that
). That command could be given a few changes and we'd have a preview tool that the user could have to put any outfit on, in any color combinations.
something like that would be nice ![]()
that way, i wouldn't have to stand outside my shop (for sunlight) with funny cloths on mefrom a customer, and making clothing in every shade of tan possible to match the already strange looking jacket that he wants to match @.@ or those times where i make something in a certain color, have a customer try it on, and go *o.O* "uh... nevermind"
