Is this the one right outside of Jabba's? If so he clears it for you if you did it prior to the revamp so that those that did it can get the new loot, but won't do it again (he even tells you this). Anyhow, I'm just about finished with Jabba's with my noob character on Wanderhome, so after I'm done I'll give this a try just to verify if it cleared or not.

Incidentally, it's funny that there are little businesses that are operating very close to the themepark now. People that help you run missions, people that hawk paintings, and the other loot items, and so forth. There is even a Jabba's gift shop, lol. Clever I thought.

I was contacted by one such guy while I was there running the missions. He apparently makes it part of his business to buy such treasures from people. I sold him my (duplicate) painting for a pretty hefty sum. This again suggests that the NPC-mission-clearning thingy is untrue, but we'll see.

This is correct Arthur. I have done Jabba with both of my chars exactly twice. Why? Because when you try to clear them again (once you've completed after revamp) he gives you the same response everyone else does.... Jabba is not in need of your services. (or something like that lol).

Not sure where you got the idea you could keep on doing them, DuceJevic, but that would be even sillier than SOE seems to get. Then again....

At no time did I claim or think that you had actually exploited.. last straw on a bad day in a game that's just developed for crap. I apologize if you took offense.

As to pricing.. I've been here for a looooong time and I've done it all.. cheap, super expensive.. middle of road and what I've found is your customers will come, no matter what. As said so many times before, Tailors come and go like the Dust storms of Tatooine. The only thing that really matters is if you enjoy what you do and have respect for your craft.

I have the same problem on my server. I can't get ahead....I have been spending more than I make for looted materials.

Here is one that was on our trade forums:

Demolitionist Belts -> 25k

Droidsmith's Toolsets -> 25k

Exquisite Leotards -> 15k

Lightweight Military Backpacks -> 125k

Spec-Ops Agent Backpacks -> 125K

Tailor Crafter's Apron -> 100k

Chef Crafter's Apron -> 175k

It pains me to think about the people doing this & how little respect they have for the profession & for their peers.

The statement above bothers me the most .....Dahliaa im sorry you buy all your loot , i go out and get mine or guildes bring it to me. Its not about respect its about me making my money back that i spent on items , not keeping my prices high so people who dont ,wont , or cant get thier own loot make thier money. If you pay 100k for a looted schematic and cant make your money back its not the guy who is selling stuff he paid NOTHING for fault.

I stock items my customers want and I buy dropped components to have those things ready for my customers. If someone does not see what they want for sale they will usually go somewhere else looking for it. I have over 700 items in stock to give people options and not make a "quick buck". I do not blame people that charge insanely low prices for me not making my money back but I do blame for having a negative effect on a profession I enjoy.

but welcome to what i like to call real world market

LOL I don't hink your analogy is quite accurate, because in the real world market you would be the person selling t-shirts out of the trunk of their car.

I've been a BE/Pistoleer since August and only recently added another account which I have turned into a Tailor/Merchant. My whole take on this subject is this: When I first began playing with my BE character, I wanted to buy an Alderran Flora for decoration and a nice suit of composite armor. Well, the cheapest for the flora I could find was 50k and for the armor, 250k. Ofcourse I didn't have the funds to buy them then, but it made me want to work harder to have the money to afford it. I can buy those items now, but once I have them, I want other things. (Like the AV21 which has a going rate of 1mil that I cannot afford. Or atleast a power core to go with that silly schematic I have. :smileyhappy But my point is,having rarer items at a high price rate will ensure that they stay rare. If everyone had one, would they be as much fun to own? Just my opinion.

I buy toothpaste at Wal-mart, Underwear at Victorias Secret, clothes at Old Navy or INC. I could probably get cheaper underwear, but it wouldnt be as nice, nor would I recieve such excellent customer service from a wal mart employee

no I think I got you straight, you sold them for how ever much they cost you to make but NOT how much they are worth. By selling them at below WORTH, you basically advertised that hey, its an OK price and bacause of that a lot of tailors on your server are going to get flack for selling above you.

A word of advice to the tailors on this guy server, if anyone gives you flack about the price, feel free to refer them to the "cheap guy"

Take a good look at some lines of those VS bras and then go take another good look at some major brands at Mervyns. They are identical except for the tag. Don't believe me?? I own both.

Would be suprised to find out that many of the factories that make clothes for old navy , Victorias secret , and INC. also make the clothes for wal-mart , k-mart, and target using the same material , the same people making the just sewing on a differant tag? One example of this is the faded glory jeans sold by wal-mart....made by the same factory pumping out levis.

Anyways i would like to see this post end or be locked or just die....Many have missed my reasons for doing what i did . It wasnt to hurt any other tailors , steal thier business or flood the market with rare items. It was done cause i sat on these items for a month and needed some money. Anyone that shops my merchants knows my pricing for iems is right around the other tailors on the server. How do i know this ? Cause while many have made staments like not respecting other tailors , they do what they do cause they like the profession , i take time out of my playing and crafting to goto other tailors shop's and find out what the market is like and keep my stuff close to thiers . While i may have some things cheaper i also have some more exspensive , like i said before my prices reflect what is in the material and in this matter i had about 3k rapped up in those aprons be they rare or not i got my money out of em and they oppened some cash for me to buy a resource i needed to make some fancy items.

A word of advice for the people thisperson replys to.....she has selecvtive reading habbits !

1. I didnt sell them for what they cost me to make if so the sale would have been for 3k not 30k

2. Tell me just who you think you are to put a worth on these items? Like any rare items or collectable they are only worth what people will give you...Like i said i sat on them a month at 70k nobody bought them (and yes they were advertised).

So while you think you got me straight your far from it .....Please clear up your selective reading habbits before you think that you have me straight.

Now you can stop trolling this thread...it has nothing to do with you or your server ....move along.

You know, I find this rather funny. While I was still a newb (Read: novice tailor after a quick grind), I was essentially handed some of the schematics from Jabba's. I had no idea what they were worth, so I took them off the person's hands rather reluctantly, thinking "Now what am I going to do with these?"

Then, later, someone gives me the droid toolbelt schematic free on the requirement that he get one. Again, I didn't know anything about it, and he eventually managed to provide all of the requirements to make it, so freebie for him. I doubt I'll ever make another, because, at least to me, those heavy clasps are a real pain to get a hold of.

That said, for the crafter's aprons, I was just handed a ton of identical cloths (something like 3-4 sets of 3-4 identicals). So... I'm gonna make crafting aprons. And really, I have no idea what to sell them for, since I got everything for them almost free.

On flurry most of these aprons and belts go for nearly 500k. I sell mine anywhere from 100-200k. I have probably made more than 6mil off these and obviously could make more. But I think everyone should have one! I think its stupid to mark something up so high that no one can or will pay for it. I also cannot sell them by letting them sit on my vendor. I have to go to coronet to sell them by SPAMMING. I have people offer me the schem's for well over 200k but I decline. I got most of mine for free as well as the clamps, leathers, and crystalline clothing treaments.

Also, just a tip....You can learn more than one Limited use crafting apron as long as its a different item. So you can learn the schematic for each apron such as Tailor, Chef, Medic, etc but on one of each of those.
