Thread: Black Clothing
You can do some interesting stuff with the limited palette we're given, but it's not immediately obvious (and not everybody's good at it, apparently.) So "I'll take black" isn't wholly irrational....
I try to make a point of wearing some of the more unusual color combinations myself, just to show people what's possible.
That Dom 1 dark color is a dark grey. There is a true dark black. I saw it last night. I can make a very dark grey just about anything but I am after real black.
Anyone know?
There is no TRUE black in the whole tailoring line.
However, there are someitems that havea true black color such as Dress Shoes and Suit Jacket. But for most of the others, the darkest i can make is just dark green.

I've had a good black sinceat leastDomestic Arts 1. Of course, I don't have the gamma cranked thru the roof, either. At night, it's DARK. Egad, what a concept. 8)
Not like you really need to be able to see at night anyway, you can't hurt yourself from falling, you have a radar and overhead map, and the tab target selection system. The light (ctrl-L, or just L depending on key set) gives enough to see my char and those around me. *shrug*
I tend to wear mostly black when out hunting... Black, with light blue highlights, like black ribbed pants with light blue ribs, black reinforced jacket with light blue stripes, black shirt, boots, and gloves. And it's actually black, not dark grey. New colors gives you more shades of grey between white and black, you get black really early.

So am I the only male character that doesn't wear black?
I wear camo! ![]()
My novice tailorquite comfortable in hisrich blue padded jacket with a sort of dark, blue-gray padding and thin-striped pants to match. Gray (presumably the dark gray) leather gloves, wrapped boots, and a shoulder strap in the aforementioned dark blue-gray complete his outfit. He looks like he belongs to some military outift. Most ot the other male characters I've seen either wear their armor 24/7 or are running around in the blackest trenchcoat they can find.
If they could, they'd all be sporting sunglasses and call themselves Neo.
Its not just the men who want all black. I'm a rl female, plus female in game, tailor/armorsmith, and I only wear black... I just like the way it looks.

I just had to brag here.
I was making a thin stripe pant and somehow I managed to get the bright red stripe that shows up on the model.
Also happened with a yellow striped ribbed shirt.
I think I forgot to /bug that one, oh well
