Thread: Any tips for a newbee tailor trying to advertise himself?
I ended up selling so many Black Uniform Boots on the Bazaar I did two factory runs and now keep crates on me to update bazaars all over the place. I never place more than 5 or 6 at a time and the price stays fairly reasonable, so those are consistent sellers. (Also put an advertisement for yourself in the description.)
I would echo what others are saying. Find the gaps and use those to your advantage.
Additionally, I would suggest you find a fairly active weaponsmith and look into opening up a second location for that smith, or jointly opening a shop selling both Field Wear and weapons. I have had great success working with a prominent weaponsmith on my server and my vendor has seen a lot of foot traffic that it would not normally see. And since I deal in Field Wear, most of the people that are looking for good weapons are also interested in clothing that would enhance their "military" look.
