Thread: What are your TOP 3 sellers?
I have sold quite a bit of the
dusters - black and white as "lab coats"
Camo pants matched with spec op dusters
Sturdy and uniform boots
wookie clothing
However... from what I ahve seen maybe I am under pricing my goods. I usualkly sell belts and boots between 300-500 credits. I sale spec ops dusters for 3K, Gunman long coats for 5K , infiltrator suits for 5K, Other pants and shirts usally around 500 credits at teh most 1K.... Maybe that is why I am not making much money... I have field 4, casual 2, formal 2, and tailor 3
Can I get some advice from people on prices etc.. I am not looking to undercut people.. in fact I would like to be making more money. It's a constatn struggle right now.
Not counting the smaller things, like boots and gloves...
It has really shifted some lately, right now it is:
Tactical Skin suit is first for sure...
Light Bustiers
Leotards
Before it was more like...
Fleshwraps
grand ball gown
duster
I think those sold so much most are happy with what they have, and it has shifted. I expect it to shift again soon. Once decay comes in it will probaly be completly different.
I have casual 2 and fieldwear 2
My three top sellers in order:
1. Uniform Boots 700c
2. Tech Packs 1500c
3. Smocks 1500c
I mean, I like the black look too but. . . *sigh*
For combat types:
1. Spec-ops Duster. While black/black is most popular, I also sell many Urban Camo. Some prefer the Gunman's Duster because of the lapel style...but Spec-ops still outsells it at least 5-1.
2. Paramilitary Camos. Again, the Urban Camo look is in.
3. Leather gloves. People love the sockets, black being the most popular color.
Entertainers:
Dancer:
1. Dress Slippers or Women's Shoes in black.
2. Shorts. But I just hit Casual 2...so I think Hot Pants will sell like...er....hot cakes.
3. Bangles and Emerald Pendant. If I'm just back from the cloning center and need a lot of healing, the gift of gold is very much appreciated.
Musician:
1. "Loud" Spec-ops duster. White/Red, Yellow/Red, or Lok or Corellia camo.
2. Sturdy boots, yellow/purple sleeve w/ bright boot. Ugly, but eye-catching.
3. Swoop helm in yellow or bright colors. For the "combat musician"
Medics & Doctors:
1. Smock or Frock, all white.
2. Uniform boots, white.
3. Leather gloves, either in white or EMS green.
Wookiee wear:
1. Sigiled Waist Wrap. Market them as kilts for your male wook customers. Green with black markings.
2. Patterned Wookiee Gloves. Green with black or brown markings.
3. Wookiee's Traveller Helm. Brown hood/black armor.
Selling hints: Make a bunch of dusters in many patterns...Forest Camo, Desert Camo, Hoth Camo, Urban Camo, Lok Camo, Corellia Camo, Black/black. Do the same with paramilitary camos, Desert Command Jackets, and boots. Make things that you don't like...heh..."There's no accounting for taste."
Put on a "fashion show", with about 10 seconds between clothing changes, turning around slowly. If somebody likes something that you're wearing, sell it to them there and then. If they ask for another shade, take their order, and show them other items close to the shade they're asking for. But continue the show...sometimes they won't want to wait and will just take what you have in stock at that moment.
If you're selling a high-ticket item like a duster, throw in a matching swoop helm for free, or give a major discount on matching boots. They will come to you again and again, and give many referrals.
If you don't have a shop, turn a unique title on...for Field Wear 4, it's "Uniform Marshall". People may ask what it is, or just ask for a duster right away. Sit in a cantina when grinding...you'll get lots of customers. Just remember to turn off practice mode when you're crafting for somebody!
Grind, grind, grind....at Field Wear 4 you get cartridge belts. Practice mode gives you 299 tailor xp each! Gather up the resources, build 4 clothing crafting machines, and level up!
Is the grind too much? Take a break, and up your combat skills. Take Novice Scout and Novice Marksman. At expert pistol, with an average Scout Blaster, you can 1 shot kill many critters. Not only will you get the XP for pistol and combat, you'll get scouting xp when you harvest their hide. That trip out to your harvester will be a bit easier when you're not avoiding every bunny rabbit. Use the scout xp to get the Exploration boxes...travel uphill much faster than a crawl.
Oh...the most important thing...have fun.
Maso Tirag, playing on Browka...er....Lowca.
Gloves - Leather & "Heavy Work" (Cold Weather)
Boots - standard & paneled
Sleeveless Dresses
Occasionally I'll throw the odd item on the market. Purple boots, blue gloves and they sell!! I had someone buy a pair of bright yellow boots before! Wierd LOL
Thanks thats great advice Faife
And thanks for the good responses guys, I find it amazing to see the differences and similarities both across the servers.
1. Spec Ops Dusters Black/Green, Brown/Green
2. Backpacks (All types)
3. Uniform Boots, usually in black.
I myself like to wear flashier varieties of the most popular clothes. Mostly blues, greens, and yellows. If you stand out, people ask where you got your clothes, and boom! You just got a sale, "Yes, I can make it in black..." ![]()
I also sell several Crates of Synthetic Cloth and Reinforced Fiber panels.
1> Anything for Wookies.
2> Decorative vests
3> Black leather gloves
It may change now that I am master tailor but for me it is very easy :
1) (Insert any wookie cloth here)
2) (Insert any wookie cloth here)
3) (Insert any wookie cloth here)
Our big furry friends have a fashion sense, and, a bit sadly, many tailors seem to overlook them and sell dusters, cloaks and other jackets ... So whoever take time to constantly supply the bazaar with sage's hoods and battle paddings can make a very decent living.
Aside from wooke items : lekku wraps, smocks and bounty hunter/spec ops packs sell very well.
